November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

OMG!!! I feel your pain!! (although I don't have a blood disorder, I share your fear of the dentist!!)

Quick story about my experience:

I tend to panic when I'm in "the chair", so my dentist increased the usual amount of Valium he would normally prescribe for tooth extraction. Instead of just 10mg an hour before, he gave me 20mg. The big day, I took my 20mg just 1 hour before....and I was feeling good! :cloud9: Then I get to the dentist and sit in that chair. They started giving me the numbing shots, and I had a panic attack. They didn't believe that I had taken both pills just an hour earlier, so they gave me one more. Even on 30mg of Valium, I had tears streaming down my face the entire time.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out in 2 different visits - so I would have a side to eat on while the other was healing. So, before my next visit, he prescribed 10mg the night before and 30mg an hour before. It was better, but I still had tears streaming down my face the entire time.

But I'm so glad it's over with...I don't regret doing it, but it wasn't fun to go through. Good luck to you!! Not a good way to spend Thanksgiving weekend - you won't be able to much on leftovers all weekend!! :sad1:

That is what the valium did to me also. I was crying and didn't know why. I am very nervous and have panic attacks also. but the valium didn't calm my nerves and I was crying. Weird. Guess that is a side effect for some people.

sounds like my experience when I was 22...Valium made me flip out more too. I was awake the whole time and jumped out the chair 3 times. I cursed my mom out for making me get my teeth out then passed out...and they had only taken 2 out!! took me 15 more years before I got the other 2 out. they made me watch a video to see if I could stay awake or needed to go under....my BP was so high before they STARTED the video they decided "go under". all the meds make me sick however. thank goodness for that mouth suction thing! (I want that the next time I get sick!)

From what I've read here on the boards things will start slowly going up right after Halloween. I was really hoping to catch the Osborne lights but read that they wont be starting till Nov 28 same as the Mickeys Jammin jungle parade at AK. I hope they start doing all the Christmas stuff early since I planned this trip around the events last year. My job blocks out Late Nov-Mid Jan for vacations so this is the only time I could go and now to find out they are doing everything later in Nov I was bummed to say the least.

lol so in short (from what I gather) MK will be decorated since they will be having MVMCP going on. The resort decorations will be going up slowly and be fully up by Thanksgiving. As for the Osborne lights they are up and *may* have previews the week before they go live to test them but this will be unannounced so its a hit or miss thing. I havent heard anything about the tree lighting or the Santa's at Epcot.

Hope this helps you out some! I'm just crossing my fingers that everything will be up but only time will tell! :wizard:

We go in exactly 4 weeks from this friday(okay, it's after midnight already, but haven't been to sleep yet)!!:woohoo: Well, actually we will be there already at this time of course! :donald: :goofy: :mickeyjum

But, your post reminded me of the osbourne lights. I really want to see them and was very disappointed they aren't supposed to start till the 28th, much later than usual. I figured we'd definitely be there to see them, but now not so sure. I was hoping they would have a soft opening for a bit before, so I had planned to go to DHS the friday before Thanksgiving(we leave two days later), just in case. Then, I got FD and started making some more ADR's. Now I have Coral Reef and Tutto's on that Friday(we are going to be stuuuffffed that day but that's the only day we could get them!). I forgot all about why I wanted to go to DHS on friday when I was planning earlier, hoping for early Osbourne lights, dang it! Oh well, our last DHS day is Wed, maybe, hopefully they will be up by then! Need some pixiedust:

Bamma I'm not trying to steal your thunder and it is my opinion that you do it better with your bouncing blobs but;

ONLY 14 DAYS!!!!!!!

the pain isn't totally gone and i ended up going back to the dentist yesterday and he gave me 5 injections of an anesthetic directly into my mouth... one heck of a big needle!:scared: Once he was done i felt awesome... drooling alittle bit but NO pain! :cloud9: SO i went home and had a small snack because i was SOOOO hungrey. Problem was i was biting the inside of my mouth when i was chewing and didn't realize it because i was so numb.... so i only ate alittle. Well the numbing medication wore off and i felt aweful AGAIN! The dentist told me that if i was still hurting by Monday to call and he would take out that one tooth but he was reluctant due to the blood disorder... so he asked me to contact my PCP and let him know what was going on and to get a Rx of something to help clot my blood. well i called and he won't just perscribe me something he wants to see me and he can't see me until tuesday. So i took double the amount of my antibiotic... i know, probably shouldn't do that... and went to bed. I woke up this morning and the pain isnt as bad as it was but where he injected the anesthetic is all swollen and sore and i can only open my mouth half way. One side of my face is all puffed out. :sad1: I just want to be better. I have a wedding that i'm supposed to be going to tomorrow, i wish i could help DBF do more work to the house, and i wish i knew for sure that i'd be 100% (or atleast in no pain) for my vacation.

On the positive side though if i hadn't changed the dates for my vacation i would've been in WDW when this would have happened.
I haven't eaten in 2 days so this is one way to loose some weight so i can fit into that new bikini i bought for this trip.

And update on my ME documents... the women i rented points from said she called ME and asked what was the hold up and they sent it to my old address:mad: .... which isn't cool because i sent her an e-mail the day we closed saying our address was changed. So she asked them to forward me another set of the documents... so i'll be checking my mail everyday. Anyone know if it is a problem if we don't get them in time?

I've been to Disney before but never when the Christmas decorations were up. I've heard so many people talk about the magic of Main St. and the Santas at Epcot but really, I have no idea what to expect. We debated over when was the best time to go and many people said the first week of December but I don't do well in crowds of any kind. I don't panic but I hold my breath and let DH lead me through. Line ups are fine but for some reason, huge groups of people all moving in different directions or touching me as they push past, just freaks me out.

When we were at Disneyland Paris, we took the subway and people pushed and shoved my kids so hard that they started crying. One woman even fell over my stroller and yelled at me for taking up so much room. Sheesh, this is the Disney train sweetheart and I have 3 kids going to see the Mouse!

Call WDW and ask to speak to ME. They will put you on the list. You will have to get your own luggage if your tags don't arrive, but at least you can get on the ME bus.

I have a question. Do you think WDW will open longer in some of the parks at nite? I know the MK can't be open longer because of the Holiday parties, but closing at 7:00 seems to early. Especially with more people and free dining.

I can't imagine they would change the hours from what's posted since they already take into account special events and crowds. 7pm does sound really early.

39 days to go for us!
But would you believe it, both Jen and I were extremely sick this week! Acute viral enteritis..... tons of fun. I lost 6 pounds across two days! :confused3 Apparently it's been ravaging the Capital District.... 3/4 of my first class had it, and my doctor told me that she alone was seeing 4 to 6 cases a day. A New York pandemic! But we're feeling well now, and hopefully this will be the last of the health issues before Disney!
