Hi everyone,

I'm new to the disboard community and was hoping I could get some advice for our upcoming trip the third week of November (11/14-11/21). Based on what I've read so far, I'm planning to pack for both long and short sleeve clothing for both hot and cool temperatures. Do you think shorts are necessary, or do you think my little ones (3-year-old twins) would be comfortable in jeans even on the warmer days?

Thanks in advance for all your help!

-Nicole

We've been to WDW several times during November and have typically had cooler temps than forecasted. In fact, it was so cold at night we could have used our winter coats. During the day when the sun is out, we were fine with capris and tee-shirts. We are early birds and like to go to the parks ASAP so we took jackets until it warmed up. We packed a little of both kinds of clothes. Check the Orlando forecast before packing (there are websites). However, they weather changed and it got unseasonably cold while we were there. We packed hats and gloves for the night time shows and parades and were glad to have them. The cast members were strolling Main Street in the MK selling blankets. You just never know, we've even been swimming as well. Good luck and have a wonderful trip.

Whenever we've gone in early and mid December, my kids wore mostly jeans, a tee shirt, and a sweatshirt for mornings and evenings. I probably brought one or two pairs of shorts also for them.

My kids always swim a bit, even when it's in the 70's (I won't!) so also I bring a swimsuit. The pools are heated (still not warm enough for me!).

I also like to take a backpack with me to the parks with a change of clothes for the kids, in case of spills. So you could throw a pair of shorts in, if it gets warmer they can be changed into them.

I always also do a load of laundry, especially with little kids, so one pair would possibly be enough.

So, yes I'd bring a pair of shorts, just in case!

We'll be there the same time (Nov 14-18). Like PP, I plan to pack a bit of everything from 1 pair of shorts to my hat and gloves.

I remember swimming in AKL pool in November about 7-8 years ago and freezing, just freezing in Epcot in early December.

Hope to run into you in WDW! (well, not literally...):rotfl2:

thanks for all the advice! guess i'll pack afew pairs of shorts along with the long sleeves and pants. just bought two suitcases yesterday so we should have a little extra room now!

marshay, look for us! we'll probably be easy to spot...just watch out for two frazzled and over-tired parents!

thanks again! -nicole

DD & I will be there Nov 19 - 25, and I'll be checking the weather sites for an idea of the weather while we're there. We've been in early Dec several times, and sometimes its been warm, other times, it been rather cold!

We were just at Disney for two weeks in June, so we're hoping it won't be HOT, but DD sure would like to do a little swimming while we're there! I'd love it to be jeans/tshirt weather, maybe a light jacket in the evening!

Maybe we'll see ya around!

gosh, i just noticed my last post has a 'thumbs down' icon. how did i do that?? i so didin't mean too? what's it mean anyway?

as the last poster said, i'm also hoping that we have a jeans/t-shirt kind of week too!

thanks again for all the advice!

Maybe being from Canada where the temp gets to -30 celsius (without the wind) for too many days during winter makes us kind of immune to the Florida cold;) but the only time I remember feeling the need for long pants is in february (you could see your breath in the morning:eek:). Even then, we swam every afternoon. That is what I remember from my close to 30 trips to WDW. We are also going in november this year and I will bring pants and shorts as well as swimsuits but definitely no winter coats:eek: Our winter coats are for the above mentionned temperatures. That would be quite a look over my swimsuit:rotfl2::rotfl:

November 7 to 14 with DS5 and my mom! How spoiled do you think the little guy is going to be with mom and grandma:laughing::scared1:
