Hi!

My husband and I will be cruising with two very dear friends. We have GTY cabins so I don't know where we will be. But we would love to be part of the FE. No kids, just two adults. DH - 56 and me - 52.

So, I decided that I didn't like the way my FE's were packed, plus I decided to add something, so here I am on a Sunday taking everything out and trying to fix it. My husband just shook his head at me and walked away. So I asked him, (honey, don't you want to help) I swear, he just took off down the hall, running away from me. Now I know what to ask him if I want alone time. Haha

Wow, my DH does the same thing. It must be contagious. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I made shirts for all nine in my group. It was easy, but time consuming. I just used a magnet design, and personalized it. The most expensive part was the printer ink. Ouch! This cruise is a 50th anniversary cruise for my in-laws, so thats what I printed.

We did the same thing for my parents’ 40th anniversary. Mom and Dad renewed their vows on the Magic. It was an amazing cruise!

I cannot wait to see the shirts. I will be looking for them in the terminal.

I thought I would share our embarkation photo from my parents' vow renewal cruise.

Wow, I am now counting my blessings even more. I will have to give my hubby an extra hug and a kiss today. He helped package, sort and organize the FE gifts and he never even questioned when I decided I had found something cute to add. He reopened the bags he packaged and added the item with a smile. Now I know I should :worship: him.

All my FE's items came yesterday! :thumbsup2 I am so excited to start putting them together! After I saw the actual gift, I am very happy that I went with a Thanksgiving theme! :goodvibes

I also started my packing spreadsheet. On the top of the list is a power strip. We forgot it on our Christmas cruise last year. What a crisis! :scared1: We had to rotate plugging in IPods, IPhones, IPads, and computers (not to mention the blow-dryer and flat iron!). So my recommendation to all of you: If you are a family that travels with gadgets like us, do not forget to bring the power strip.

It is fabulous that our cruising weather will be beautiful! :woohoo: I cannot wait for the sun, fun, turkey, and the Wonder! It is going to be a Thanksgiving to remember. :yay:

Today, I am hitting the discount stores for another semi-formal dress for my DD and me. :cool1:

Tonight, my DD and her friends are going to a concert at the Honda Center. While they are rocking out, DH and I will hang out at Downtown Disney. I probably will spend most of the time talking about our cruise, and my DH will spend most the time politely nodding.

Take care and talk to you soon.

DD and I went to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party last night, with our cruising companions. It was more more crowded than last year's event but we still managed to bring home 34 lbs. (yes, I weighed it) of candy and treats. Great weather, even though we had a quick rainstorm in the early afternoon.

We've gone to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party in past years and re-purposed the candy for Trick or Treat'ers on Halloween.

If we are home for Halloween, we'll give out some of it. Who wants raisins unless they are coated in chocolate? We also discussed making goody bags for our cruise staff.

We planned on utilizing the discounts on the candy after Halloween since my little guy will be too small to trick-or-treat, and my big kids are too old to go without getting questioned at the door.

Someone posted this from the magic today. If it does not open, check out Gratuity Letter in Stateroom on the forum.....ok it's not opening, it should have highlighted (letter) down below and opened the letter, oh well. It seems they will automatically charge your on board account. They say you can change it at guest services.

When we arrived in our stateroom today, we found this letter on the desk regarding an automatic $12/day charge per day per person. It also mentions that they suggest tipping at Palo as well.

We will definitely head to Guest Services, as we do all of our tips in cash. I have already prepared the tip envelopes and the appropriate amount in each envelope. (We also bring along extra to add based on service).

That will really mess up our account, since we are planning on cash and rewards cards to cover our onboard account. We have budgeted to leave without any charges to our credit cards. Let's hope we succeed. Can't wait only 47 more days until I am off of work and ready to pack and go.

I still have Marukochan, SmedonSeas, and Sneeches (aka Noelle) that I need info on. And two others on GTY. Once I have all of that I will send PM's to everyone for there final copy.

I hope to have a complete list out soon. I know that some GTY have not received there room number yet.

If anyone hears from Marukochan sneeches AKA Noelle, or Smedonseas, please have them pm me there room, or at least let me know if they are GTY or not. Thanks

I'm holding off the last three FE's in till I hear form them. I hope I hear from them soon. Yes I know we have time, but I just want to get this part of packing done. And get my counter back.

As for the new tipping rule, I don't like it either. Like west4disney, I have cash,I don't want anything if I can help it on my credit card. I guess I'll be one of those standing at guest services to change it.

Welcome Nancy & Bruce :welcome: Our FE list is now closed but I'll leave it up to the rest of the group regarding if you can still join us. I'd be happy to include you in our little group. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure they have the right group. There ticker has 2 months 3 weeks and 6 days in till there Wonder cruise. I'll ask when they get back form the Dream in a few days.
