On our MR in April, we got 6 and 7 in some days, then we were lucky to get 1 on another day. Kids were always looking, and often disappointed.

Hadn't thought of this....I wasn't really a fan of having specific days assigned, but the thought of stretching it out is a different perspective. Now I am just a little bit torn. I was just discussing with my husband this morning, how and when we would deliver the items. This changes my thoughts a little. Maybe even leaning a little more towards spreading it out a little by assigning dates.

I originally didn't like the idea of feeling like I would need to worry about which day to do the drop off, since I am on vacation... but the idea of spreading it through 6 days, sounds good.

So I am torn 50/50

Since we know that there are 20 rooms, 19 minus our own, we can prepare the kids ahead of time. If we receive 8 the first day, I will tell my kids there will be 11 more coming throughout the week. They will be having fun on vacation and practicing their addition and subtraction at the same time! :rotfl2:

Looking over excursions now. Anyone have anything planned yet? A few months ago, we did the Pirate Adventure in PV (lots of fun) and ATV/horseback riding in Cabo (highlight of our trip) We went snorkeling in Catalina recently, to gt DD-7 prepared, but she insists she won't be doing that again.:sad2:

Thank you for the delivery list. I prefer not to have assigned delivery dates. If it works for some people great, but I am not a fan.

I agree. More likely than not, we'll deliver ours on Embarkation Day. Day 2 (1st sea day) at the latest. :cool1: This is b/c part of ours is to be used during the entire cruise, should they choose to use it. ;)

I understand that some of the FE's need to get out sooner rather than later and I believe that can be accommodated with the assignment of dates. I suggest that we assign dates and then accept some changes as necessary to accommodate special requests. I wouldn't like going to my cabin and running into 4-6 days worth of FE's.

For those of you who would like assigned days, why don't you split the days amongst yourselves therefore guaranteeing some deliveries each day. The rest of us can deliver when it is most convenient for us.

I think Socababy has the best idea. For those who want dates go ahead, and for others, deliver when you can. This sounds very reasonable to me.

Hi everyone!

I am been2marceline's wife, Karen. Our last cruise, a few years ago, they spread out the FE gifts during the week and it was great. We are open to any day. Here is a picture of ours. It was made by someone on our cruise DIS board and she ended up not going on the cruise. Our DD personalized it.

The photo is not showing up, I will try to post it shortly!

been2marceline's (Karen), what room are you in, do you know yet. Please let me know so I can add it. Thanks

For those who have cruised before, when do our luggage tags come to us, and how meny do we get?
Has anyone cruised the wonder lately? I heard the bed linens have changed and iPod clocks were put in, is this correct?

I was on the Wonder in April. It was my first time so I don't know what linens were like before. Bedding was incredible. I heard about the iPod clocks (negative) so I took my own travel alarm clock, to be safe. Luggage tags come with your travel documents, about 2-4 weeks before the cruise. If you booked through a TA they will come to them. 2 tags per person, and you can get more at the port.

I suggest that we forgo assigning distribution dates and times, even though I would prefer it. I don't have a problem either way, it is just that I don't see the need for specific dates unless everyone has specific date.

I'll ask again... does anyone know how to get a hold of a CM to open rooms so that FE gifts that don't fit in the FE's can be placed in the room? Or is there another way to handle it. Also, how are you marking the gifts that don't have names on them already? Do you mark them with the giver's name too or is it like a white elephant type of thing?

When we did Secret Mickey (like Secret Santa) we were able to leave it with the room steward that was nearby the room we were leaving it in I've also heard that some people left items at Concierge. Most of our group put labels on the items (or bags) with giver and recipient names.
As far as assigning delivery days, it was merely a suggestion, that worked out great for us before. Didn't expect to have such negative feelings for it. Do what you want.:sad2:

I am pretty excited, I made a WAVE phone carrier. I know this is not related to the FE, but I was concerned about the wave phones being put down, or left behind, so I devised this plan. It is a pouch that is lined with vinyl (to help protect from water), and then has a carabiner to hook to pant loops, or lanyard.

If you are interested in making them, and would like the dimensions, let me know.

I think as far as assigning dates, we will probably just hold off until later in the cruise to give out our items, as most of them are things for at home, or to enjoy any time.

What a day. I was finishing the tote bag for niece, and realized I really oops. I had printed Disney Wonder to iron on the tote. I thought I checked the print, and after peeling off the iron on, the Disney was up side down. Now I have to go back to Michaels for a new tote, and print up another iron on. Well I won't make that mistake again!

We are in room #7024.
Thanks - Boutilier. (Jennifer Boyle)
