I know today is the last day to sign-up for the FE Exchange. Sorry to be a lollygagger, but was trying to decide if we'd be able to pull this off w/ doing a sort-of B2B (we're actually doing B2B, but it's also Coast2Coast ) and having so much stuff to bring, etc. But I've decided to bite the bullet and sign us up. Here is our info:

I know Emma mentioned that her friend Raven lives in the LA area and she checked w/ her the other day to see if she might happen to be going on the cruise and Raven told her yes. So I'm assuming it's your Raven, since that isn't a common name. Emma is so excited that she'll get to see her again. Just thought I'd mention that since I just realized it when I was looking @ the FE List.

Yes, it is. Raven told me last week that Emma asked her on FB if she was going over Thanksgiving. She was so excited. The teens had so much fun over Christmas that she cannot wait. Cruising last year during the Christmas holiday and now cruising during the Thanksgiving holiday, I should say our grils are very lucky

Hopefully when our documents come, we'll have a stateroom assigned. But I have heard of families not getting it assigned until they arrive at the port! But that being said, every time we've had a GTY, we've gotten our room assignment before the documents were sent out; so maybe a month ahead of the sailing.

I check DCL every day to see if we've been assigned a stateroom. Multiple times a day actually. So as soon as I know our #, I'll let ya know!

They are very lucky indeed! Emma was trying to get Peter to go on the cruise as well as some others. Letting them know about the Kids Sail Free deal, etc. Doubt it will get anyone to actually go @ this late date (although it worked for us ), but worth the shot. She's very much looking forward to seeing Raven and hoping they will make some other fun friends.

So as of right now, we have 20 different staterooms participating, correct? Just trying to figure out my FEs--room total vs. people total.

Yes it is 20, if you are counting your own room. There will be no more then that. But I am waiting for a few more to conferm that are on the list. Some I have not heard from in 6 months or more, and one for a name correction.

This is the Freedom Tower on the World Trade Center Site.

There was a special mass in honor of firefighters that lost their lives. It was a very moving moment to see the procession of firefighters leaving St. Patrick's.

The New York skyline from Empire State Building. Notice the two beams of light were where the Twin Towers stood. The beams were lit from dust to dawn in honor of September 11th.

Mike and I are on top of the Empire State Building.

It was also Fashion Week in New York.

I would suggest assigned delivery days (or suggested delivery days) so that we are not getting a bunch of gifts on some days and none on others. Everyone on the list can be assigned a number, from 1-20, and on
day 1: # 1 & 2 give out FEs,
day 2: #3,4,5 give out
day 3: 6,7,8
day 4: 9,10,11
day 5: 12,13,14
day 6: 15,16,17
day 7: 18,19,20

Of course, it can be altered, but it's an idea. Worked great for us in the past. The kids found something every day.

I'm all for suggestions on how to do this. But I'm in a bind, I need to get mine out the first day. I have two reasons. #1 my in-laws will try (trust me on this)to monopolize all of my families time. #2 my gift comes with things for excursions. If for some reason I can't get them out day one, it will be very early the next morning. I also don't like time constraint. But I will also try to go with what everyone want to do.

I like this idea and I don't mind if you, Chicogirl, take the #1 spot. I would suggest that you just go down the list and assign numbers and see what falls out.

I've never done this before. If you have something that won't fit in the FE, how do you contact a CM to open the room to get it in there?

I agree with this. I'd rather hand mine out based on when it is covenient for us. Who knows what we may be doing on our assigned day. Knowing me, I will then begin to stress about getting them out and who wants to be stressing while on vacation??
