Another question is about Oceaneer club and Lab. I have read some review about them on DW and those are disappointing. I expected kids program on DW would be so perfect that every kids would not want to leave club. ( It will be our ultimate goal for this DC ) I do not want to hear my kids saying " kids club is boring" I want some adult only peace! Please! Could anyone with kids tell me about club and lab. thanks.

Our first Disney Cruise was when my son was 9 years old. He allways was wanting to go to the kids area and would not leave the kids area until they closed. During the day he wanted some pool time but at dinner he could not wait until he could go to the kids area. Our second Disney Cruise he was 13 and he went to the teens area. He had a good time but most of his time was spend running around the ship and they just used the teens area as a place to start and end.

Now with that said, not all cruise lines are the same. For kids, Disney is best by far and we have done most of the major cruise lines. Our worst was NCL where they put my 11 year old in a room with some Lego's and expected him to stay and be entertained. The best was Princess when he was 10 years old and there were only 20 kids on the entire ship. The four 10 year old kids had the full run of the ship and all kids areas. On one cruise we took our 15 year old friend and I had to force her to the teens area the first night and I stayed outside the door for 15 minutes to make sure she stayed. After that I did not see her the entire cruise except for dinner. Most of the kids 13 and over get up around noon and find their friends. They stay out until 1 or 2 in the morning and when you see them they tell you it is boring; the truth is they have a great time and the best is there is no place for them to go and get into trouble.

Thank you everyone for reassuring me about kids area on DW. Now, I can relax, sitback and start packing. Only 16 more days till the BIG DAY! YAY! I know it will be great. :yay:

Hi Kathy, glad to hear from you, I live in Cupertino as well. We live near Kenedy middle school and my kids go to Lincoln Elementary. My sun will be at the club but I am not sure about my daughter. She is 10 and half now so, she can go to Edge if she gets bored. I will look forward to meet you at the meet. Will you be at the meet on embark day at 3pm? :thumbsup2

We live near Cup. Middle School where my older son attends (near Homestead and 85) and my younger goes to Montclaire! My younger one just turned 10 but will enjoy the peace away from his big brother!pixiedust:

I am glad that you can relax. I just want to let you know that we have had no problem with any of the kids' clubs. DD has loved every cruise, and it is mainly because of the clubs.

Now, she loves the Vibe.

It's a big day in deed. :thumbsup2

:cheer2: It's getting closer! This is our first cruise as a family and we're excited! My daughter is an only child, age 5, so I'm hoping she meets many kids to enjoy activities with! she has one limitation, as last week, she broke her arm, so with the cast, water activities are out. :sad2: But I know it will still be a blast! Although we're not on any FE list, as we were too late, etc, daughter and I are enjoying putting together some fun goodies hehe. I'm sure many people to FE's just for fun without being on an official list. :thumbsup2 We're excited!! As it being our first time, any must-do tips would be awesome to hear!!! :grouphug:

Great! Looks like some great flicks for kids and adults! I've been wanting to see The Help (just read the book!)! :laundy:

I can't believe we are just 2 weeks away!! My 8 year old is starting to take the wind out of my sails though. He is driving me crazy with his bad decision making. It's constant, almost everytime I turn around he is doing something he KNOWS I don't want him to do. This parenting solo sucks! To top it all off, the kids don't know about the cruise. So even though ds8 has lost his video games and the tv, I get to say "SURPRISE!" as we pull up to the ship. I'm sure he will think that his mom has the best punishments ever!

Kids have the weirdest timing sometimes!!! Well at least soon you'll be on a relaxing cruise! Take advantage of the kid programs so you can have spa time ;-) How old is your daughter? Mine is 5. I asked because in the picture she looks similar in age to mine :-). We're from So Cal, too! Maybe all the weird Santa Ana winds caused his behavior! I'm a teacher and my students have had some weird weeks, too!

I am at Disney's Grand Californian, and I just saw the model of the Disney Magic in the lobby. I am so excited to see the Wonder. Fabulous!

My daughter just turned 4 and my sons are 6 and 8. They all will be enjoying the kids clubs whether they like it or not, especially during my spa appt. LOL

I am in education too. Last week our students lost their minds. Between the weather and Halloween they were so energized. I wonder what this week holds since it is suppose to rain, and it is a short week. I love working with children.

Just 14 days left! I am so looking forward to this vacation! We are waking up at DL Resort, which is only building the excitement. We are going to Magic Mornings!

We most likely will see cruisers this morning getting ready to depart to the port on the Magical Express. I am so excited for them. Crazy, right?

Was anybody here at DL yesterday for the filming of the Christmas
parade? It was a good time. We saw Nick Cannon, which was a big
deal for DD.

This time change is the best. I get an extra hour of magic!

:teacher: I hear you.....this week will be another adventure!! I'm thankful it is shortened by a day! By the time I get on the ship, I will definitely be ready for the spa!!!!! :thumbsup2

They should also be showing The Muppets Movie as it opens on Thanksgiving. We saw African Cats on opening day on the Wonder.

We were not there yesterday, sounds like it was nice! We went last weekend, so this weekend we are catching up on things! :laundy:

What is Magic Mornings?? :wizard:

I have noticed there are some of you on your first cruise. Here are some notes from things I have found helpful.

Some Notes:
1. Before the cruise let you kids know what time he has to be in the room for dinner. You will not be able to find them on the ship easily.
2. Take a note tablet or sticky notes to leave each other messages and remind him to look at it.
3. Before you go to bed order him cookies and milk from room service (free) and leave for your kids. It is easy for you and it makes him feel loved.
4. Disney has good ice cream bars from room service at no cost.
5. Dinner is an experience so do not let your kids ditch you at dinner.
6. In the theater set in the same place every night and let you kids know where that is in case they want to join you. I have always been in the front left. My son will come looking for me in the left side of the theater.
7. ** Do not let them take electronic devices on the cruise. It takes away from the experience.
8. *** Do not let them go into the Arcade; It is not free and there is to much other things for them to do.
