Another question is about Oceaneer club and Lab. I have read some review about them on DW and those are disappointing. I expected kids program on DW would be so perfect that every kids would not want to leave club. ( It will be our ultimate goal for this DC) I do not want to hear my kids saying " kids club is boring" I want some adult only peace! Please! Could anyone with kids tell me about club and lab. thanks.
Our first Disney Cruise was when my son was 9 years old. He allways was wanting to go to the kids area and would not leave the kids area until they closed. During the day he wanted some pool time but at dinner he could not wait until he could go to the kids area. Our second Disney Cruise he was 13 and he went to the teens area. He had a good time but most of his time was spend running around the ship and they just used the teens area as a place to start and end.
Now with that said, not all cruise lines are the same. For kids, Disney is best by far and we have done most of the major cruise lines. Our worst was NCL where they put my 11 year old in a room with some Lego's and expected him to stay and be entertained. The best was Princess when he was 10 years old and there were only 20 kids on the entire ship. The four 10 year old kids had the full run of the ship and all kids areas. On one cruise we took our 15 year old friend and I had to force her to the teens area the first night and I stayed outside the door for 15 minutes to make sure she stayed. After that I did not see her the entire cruise except for dinner. Most of the kids 13 and over get up around noon and find their friends. They stay out until 1 or 2 in the morning and when you see them they tell you it is boring; the truth is they have a great time and the best is there is no place for them to go and get into trouble.
