Nov 20, 2011 Dream - 3 Nights

We will be spending 3 days at WDW after the cruise. We are looking forward to this trip because it is to celebrate my DD's 16th birthday and my college graduation.

I'm working on getting my FE together and the goodies we plan to give out.

We are leaving the 16th and will be in the parks for 3 days before and one day after the cruise. Then we fly home Thanksgiving AM. So we're on a similar schedule to you. Are you staying on property? We'll be at POR.

Still trying to decide if we are going to stay on property. We have a brother in Orlando but the Free Dining Promo is hard to pass up. Unfortunately we had already bought our park tickets and the promo requires at least a two day park ticket purchase. Disney won't let me use the tickets we have already purchased towards a package... a little disappointing with all the money we are spending so we are trying to decide if it is worth it for us. Either way -we will be at the parks! 4 days before and at least one after the cruise!

My kids don't know yet either. Since I will be on board the cruise before and my best friend is driving us to the port that leg, my DH is going to put the kids in the van and say they have to go pick me up at the port. I will have all their luggage with me the first leg so the kids won't get suspicious. I'll surprise them when they get there.

Can't believe how close we are now. Still no family cabana available. I was able to get one at Serenity Bay for my best friend and I the leg before.

Does everyone receive these before their cruise? I booked through Disney directly. Just completed registration last week though. Could that delay the docs coming?

Two years ago, on our last Disney cruise, I booked before my sister. She got her docs 1 1/2 weeks before we did and we live 6 miles apart!!! I would call if you dont get them in a week or so.

Hi - I'm (kinda) new to the disboards but am alexturner74's DW so I've been surfing vicariously through his login but finally got my own today!

We're doing the FE for the first time and I'm really excited about it. So I'm looking forward to getting the final FE list, which might be split at this point since with our family added, it looks like it will be 25 families, or more if anyone else has joined in this week.

Can't wait and I'm starting to check this thread multiple times a day. I'm SO hooked.

Getting the final FE list is the next step in building the excitement for the cruise...I love finalizing the gifts and getting everything put together!!!

We are at 25 families and the list will be closed as of tomorrow...If anyone else wants to join after tomorrow (10/15/2011) they will be notified that they might or might be getting gifts from everyone since the final list will be out. Some people do make extra just in case but some make JUST enough! lol Hope everyone is ok with keeping the list together since it did stop at 25. I will go through the list again and my PM's tonight to start finalizing the list. It has come to the time where I will need everyone's stateroom number to add to the list. I hope to be totally done with the list by Sunday, at that point, I will email it everyone...I'm sure everyone is just as excited as my family!!!

I'm ok with NOT splitting the list if we're at 25. I think I already bought for 22 or 23 but I could probably scrounge up couple more. Can you give me an idea of how many total kids we have in the group though? I'm hoping to give something for each kid but don't not sure if I have enough for that.

Getting totally excited!!!! Tomorrow marks 30 days until we leave for WDW!

I got my cruise docs for this, my very first Disney cruise!! Yea!!

I'm so excited for the FE, I've fallen WAY behind on making your treats, so I will have less sleepless nights if we split the list, but I WILL GET THEM ALL done if we don't!! Yea!!

As I posted yesterday, I was thinking of keeping the list together since it stopped right at 25..Hope everyone is ok with this! I also want to let everyone know that if any one else wants to join, they will be informed that the list is closed, if people have extras, they are welcome to give it, but as of today, I will not add anymore names! Have we decided on a meet up on the first day? Maybe sometime around 3 or 330? Atrium lobby by the main stairway?? Let me know!


The count I have below is for the total group, including all families, if you dont plan on leaving anything for your own family((who does that anyways?!?!?!?!? LOL)) Just take that number of people from the total count..

Here is the count:

22 adult males
26 adult females

10 boys(9-18)
14 girls(9-18)

8 boys (under 8)
8 girls (under 8)

And for the people who may feel a bit overwhelmed, please remember, this is a FUN activity! Give gifts as you see fit! There are no set rules in gift giving, last year we gave a gift to EVERYONE on the list, this year we are doing 1 per cabin. Please dont feel like you have to give a certain gift or that it has to be perfect, whatever you decide to give is great! I truly cant wait to meet everyone, being apart of the DIS is a great way to meet people and possibly have friendships that blossom around a great center, DISNEY!

As for a time to meet...I think 3:30 sounds good, I would love to put a face to names (plus it would be a nice opportunity for all the kids to meet some new friends)

Will anyone be going to Epcot before November 13th? Right now is my favorite time to go there. They are having the Food and Wine Festival. I briefly walked around the different booths and tried a few things Wednesday night. I droped my daughter, neice and neighbor off at the House of Blues for a concert and decided to kill some time I'd go to the festival. The kids and I are going back Monday after school to eat dinner at the booths and see Sugar Ray in concert.

My best friend and I will be going up on Nov 12th and going to Food and Wine on the 13th. We will come back home on the 14th and will go on the first leg of the cruise on the 17th. She has never been to Food and Wine. My DH and I have.
