Rash - you don't have any indentions in your head from your recent Labor and Delivery experience do you? ;) Or are you just excellent at dodging?
I do have some indentations on my head, but those are from my days as an olympic luger, not from maternity.

Ok, the word comes early this week:
LUGE

Luge!

Maybe I'll cut it out with my new toy and put it on a random page in my scrap book! :earboy2:

Hey, you win some... you luge some.

:rotfl: :rotfl2: she is good!

and once again I find myself unable to comment on a Rash comment for fear of being banned from the DIS  time for me to slide on to safer pastures before my slick tongue gets me into trouble and I find myself on a slipperly slope from which there is no recovery.

:smooth:

If you didn't have the luge reference to fall back on, that sentence would get you banned.

hey - it works for bobsledding too!!!

Just being a smart tookus! See what happens when I spend the day reading technical manuals?

*adjusting her halo*

BTW Carrie - isn't this dinner with the inlaws for your birthday???

Yes, happy birthday to me. Actually, it was last weekend and that was a very nice weekend. Guess you could say the party's over.

That would be a wonderful thing!

My toy was my b-day and anniversary present from dh. I'm never that extravagent on myself. Of course, he still go tme some little things to open for my actual b-day. Actually, this will be weekend 3 of celebrating my birthday. 1st with my family, ddb and dniece also have August birthdays, then with dh and a nice day scrapping with a friend, and now with ILs. Don't be sad, 'cause 2 outta' 3 ain't bad. :rolleyes1

Baby we can talk all nightttttttttttttttttttttttt..... :music:

I hear your IL pain and I am sure you guys will get an ear full after my MiL is at my house for 2 weeks when Paula Jean shows up. :bored: (It is simply wrong of me to hope the baby comes anytime after 37 weeks so that I am actually healed and moving pretty well by the time MiL gets here isn't it? :guilty: I am bad)

I cannot imagine having my MIL "take care of me" and she is actually a take charge, do it all kind of person. You will have your hands full! I understand.

But that ain't getting us nowhere....

What an appropriate thread... because right now, my new office is SO cold, I really COULD cry "icicles instead of tears".... I tried adjusting the thermostat and it ain't gettin' us nowhere, either! I don't have any snow pilin' up outside my door -- but it MIGHT happen, soon. Hopefully I can escape before it does.... :cold:

Oh! I HATE too much AC! You have my sympathy, as much as that will help. Hey, I could send some frustrating calls your way. That may help!;)

I'm home now -- it took 20 minutes in a TOASTED vehicle just to defrost me! I didn't even turn on the A/C in it -- I was that cold! (and I was wearing a sweater!) Understand too that I am actually the LAST person to complain about a cold room -- normally I run 5 degrees warmer than the rest of the free world, I think! (Not sure about the non-free world -- I'd have to ask.)

ANYWAY -- the thermostat, when I left, read 57. (And no, that wasn't celcius.)

Happy Birthday, Carrie!!!!

jnrrt, just remember, you really know your body better than anyone else. Be sure you follow your gut instincts and YES, get a second opinion :hourglass take your time too!

gopherit, does that just come naturally? :rotfl:

speaking of messy desks (trying to catch up here), I was moved to an office that was easily twice as big and I have decided that it made me store twice as much junk :earseek: I'm no better at work than at home, oh well...

LUGE is a great word, Rash!!

The bigger the house, the more it will store....be it junk or quality goods.

I have been trying to scale back, but it is next to impossible with kids around and with a husband that has car parts to vehicles he has not owned since BEFORE I met him. However, the shop we built a few years back (ok - had built) is his and I just don't enter! So finally, I am scaling back the junky stuff around the house. Of course, every week it means a walk around with a trash bag to collect those things that should have not even made it into the house in the past week. :p So far, I think the others have me outnumbered lol

Speaking of cleaning house.....better get back to it if we are going to be done in time to go see the Rome Braves tonight - fireworks after the game so the boys are excited. Of course, it won't be Illuminations, so who knows how they will feel afterwards lol

Have a great weekend!

Laura

Oh, isn't it true? I used to hate having to move so much during college and grad school, but it did keep your stuff to a minimum. Now that we've been in the same house for 6 years, I have to go through an area every couple of months just to keep my sanity. Right now, it's baby clothes. I figure we're done, but even if we were "surprised" all these clothes would be out of style by then. But boy, does it make me sad. My babies are getting so big!

I remember looking at this house and thinking, "yeah, great storage!" and "oh no, great storage!"

Luge!!

Loading up the luge and heading east. Looks like we're in for nasty weather...

Happy B Day WTP!

Good luck, Toon.

Happy Birthday Carrie!

Be safe Tooneric, hope the hurricane misses you totally or at least causes minimal discomfort.

And last but not least

LUGE! (yes, that's a bobsled, best I could do)
