Nothing Thread

Carrie: I'm so sorry about your new toy...were you able to read through the users manual in prep. for the arrival of the new one? Trying to make lemonade out of lemons here. :sunny:

Yes!!! We sold our van this weekend. Didn't need it now that I have my new luxury sedan (the truck!). Of course, the dealer offered us diddly-squat for it so we decided not to trade it in, but then were starting to panic because it was sitting in the driveway with no calls on the ad. So, it went to a nice family for a really good price -- much less than we would have liked, but so nice to have everything taken care of now.

Hopefully everyone else is having a good weekend too!

If only I were purdy enough for that :teeth:
but hopefully, I am not quite that vapid.

and HAHAHAHAHAHA Left Coaster!!! It appears we have finally gotten your mind in this nice gutter with the rest of us! :earboy2:

I think the only talent that TV newspeople have is to yadda on and on. I'm surprised I haven't thrown something through the TV set yet.

As for the gutter, a saying comes to mind. We may be lying in the gutter but we're looking at the stars. At work, we have to go to sexual harassment training classes at the end of October. Strange because I thought I was doing a good job of that laready. ;) Anyways, since I'm planning on leaving the company, I'm wondering just how much my mouth will get me in trouble during that training.

Wish me luck this weekend, I have my teenaged nieces coming to town. We'll be doing Hollywood this afternoon, Disneyland tomorrow ( :scared1: I can't believe I'm going to be spending a full day at Disneyland in the summer), and Monday, we're going to see the Pageant Of The Masters (www.foapom.com for info). I told my dad "Don't send them till Saturday morning. I need my Friday night!"

I wish I had a cool uncle like Lefty.

Have a wonderful time (and try not to get trampled @ DL!).

Your nieces know that you are the S.o.F.??? (somehow, I bet they do! :teeth: )

I do hope your weekend goes well with them. It sounds like you are planning a bunch of activities - and hot or not, I would love a day at DL right now!

*yawn* I am thinking its about nap time and *poof* son #1 and #2 woke up from their naps before I went and laid down. ggrrrr That is what I get for doing laundry and cleaning house for a "minute" instead of just laying down with them to begin with.

I said a BOOM Chicka BOOM!!!
I said a BOOM CHICKA-I'm-a-HorseCHICKA-Say-"Igloo"-while-you-drink-a-Yuelingling-and-Vote-for-Me-ROCKA-CHICKA BOOM!

Uh Huhhhh.

Oh Yeah...

One more time....

(Sorry... guess whose kids are still singing the HHI campfire songs from last week...)

IGLOO!!

By the way can we request words of the week? If so I always thought Spork was a good one.

lol Gopherit! At least its not the "Dig a Tunnel" song from Lion King 1 and 1/2

IGLOO!!! bbrrrrr :cold:

Wooohoo- thanks for the bump Spirit!!!

Hubby thinks I am nesting because I am being a slave driver today about housework. I think its more because he has been in charge of the house for a few months and lets just say we have differing ideas on what consitutes clean :smooth:

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!!!

SOF, I wish I had an uncle like you too! Maybe that's why I try so hard to be an aunt like that.

I went to school in a cold climate. We built an igloo in the front yard one year, oh teh places I coudl take this thread! Can we move on to spork?

BTW, owner's manual didn't get shipped either, but I did get the one online downloaded....

Yes, I think I know most of it now.

Please, I beg of you, don't take the name of "spork" in vain.

I love that hybrid plastic contraption... :lovestruc

This sounds like time for The Bad Lyricist!

To the oldies tune (hope you guys know it) "You Talk Too Much"

You spork too much
you worry me to death
you spork too much
you even worry my pet
you sporrrrrk tooooo much

& (Sadly I could not find a spork smiley)

Off to the Big Apple for a work seminar, no internet access until later. Have a great day everyone, happy Monday! (is that a non sequiter?)

Have a good Monday all! (Just can't bring myself to say "Happy Monday". Kind of like "Good" Morning is hard for me too.)

*smile* I always say good morning, but Monday is definately not my favorite day. :drinking1 COFFEE!!!

*whistling songs about sporks*

The only good thing for me is that any day that passes is a day that is off my ticker!!!

Although spork is indeed a fun word to say (let alone shout in public), I am afraid I am unable to accept suggestions. Each Word-To-Shout-In-Public-For-No-Apparent-Reason is carefully selected through a transcendental process. This process opens the portals of the imagination, freeing my analytical, structured psyche from it's man-made boundaries. Only at the end of this journey does the word reveal itself to me in all it's awe and splendor, usually at the bottom of the 4th or 5th Yuengling bottle.

Rash -Yo just don't want to have to worry about being sued for using someone else's suggested word. I see how it is. ;)

I read this over and over again and it is amazing to me that I have NEVER noticed one thing in this great, adventure filled life of mine before now...

THERE ARE WORDS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE YUENGLING BOTTLES?!?!?!?!?!?

:scared1:  :duck:

I think they're only there if you dring 4 or 5, though. I'm thinking I need to go find myself a Yuengling, although I'm really not a bee drinker. I hope I didn't offend anyone by cmomparing Yuengling to beer!

This is good to know, Carrie! That is very dangerous, and not nearly as fulfilling as it sounds, even for someone who pays homage to Pooh in their DIS name. ;)
