Notary required for UK resale purchase?

As a buyer of a resale DVC contract from the UK, do any of the closing documents need to be signed by an official notary / witnesses?

I'm hearing mixed reports, so any advice would be much appreciated!

No.
I just completed my purchase of a resale contract a couple of weeks ago and everything was done via email with no need for anything to be witnessed or notarised.

We're using Timeshare Store / Magic Title (just in case the additional info helps)

Really hoping it's not required to save us a job!

I bought in August and didn't need one I think it's only if your selling
