Notary - Question Answered

OK, I got the paperwork today. It says to sign the Mortgage papers for the financing in front of a Notary and have it sealed.

I never had to do this in the past with our other purchase...?

Who can act as a Notary? Does it cost $$?

IT is many lawyers that can do it and in London it was 25 dollars to have it done. Best bet is have a look in the phone book and see who in your area is designated as a notary and give them a call to find out the price.

Our lawyer did it for us for free. It took about 2 minutes to complete. he did think the palm trees and mickey heads were cute. it does make everything easier though.
