Wow, I can't believe you still haven't heard from fbil. i'm glad you have a back up bm all set though! :thumbsup2 also, YAY for 80 degrees and sunny. I'd take that over this crappy Chicago weather anyday, regardless of if it's too hot! hope craft-a-poloza 2 is even more successful that the first:wizard:

Seriously... some people are just so rude! Thank goodness for great friends! I hear you about the weather. We're having a heatwave this week - it's 34 today! Anything over freezing is fine by me :rotfl:

Thanks for the well wishes on the craft-a-poloza. This one involves irons and hot glue - so it could be dangerous ;)

OMG I can't believe you leave in a week!!!! It's coming so fast, I'm so excited for you! The weather today was gorgeous! not as warm as 80 but warmer than it has been. I'm glad it's warming up for you!:goodvibes

Thanks! I seriously can't believe it. We've been engaged so long that I'm sort of sad to see the wedding planning be over.

I'm trying my best to channel you and be chill. Not sure it's working for me :rotfl:

So glad its warming up!

yey! I can't believe you are so close! I'm glad the weather is going to warm up for you. I hope it sticks around for me! Although I'm hoping for a little cooler than the 80s, but I'll take that over 30s!
Hmm if the weather is that nice, I'm totally going to have to stalk your wedding! lol

:yay::yay::yay: I'm finally getting excited and not stressed. Hopefully it will stay nice and sunny and 70 for both of us!

Feel free to stalk away! We'll be in the Poly lobby at 3:30. You guys can come an taunt me with Dole whips :rotfl:

I'll come and stalk with you!:goodvibes

See above. :goodvibes

I am so glad the forecast looks good! and have fun with your crafts! enjoy this time!!!!:goodvibes

Me too! I was getting worried about the cold! We're trying to escape that! :)

Thanks for your help with the bear necessities packs :goodvibes

So... Tonight on Joanna's Creek...

Now DF might need to change flights and come a day late :headache: He's an apprentice steamfitter and has class on Thursdays. He talked to his instructor months ago and everything was fine. And for the one class it is fine. For the other one, the instructor freaked out on him and said he's probably have to repeat the class. :scared1: So DF is freaking out and doesn't know what to do. So annoying. Even if he goes on the other flight, he'll still miss one class, so I'm not sure if it will even help anything. I guess he could leave Thursday after the weeding too, but that would just suck! Especially since we used the 4-3 deal, so we couldn't Ugh. This wasn't even on my radar. So frustrating! We're going to talk about it tonight... we'll see what he decides to do.

Still no word from DF's brother, and we heard from my cousin who also allegedly can't get off of work, so we're down another guest. But one of my co-workers that I invited told me today that she might be interested in coming. Um Hello. The RSVP date was in NOVEMBER :sad2:

Plus on top of all of that, Pacey and Dawson are still fighting over Joey. :lmao::lmao:

I'm sorry you have to deal with all these frustrations right before you leave. I can't believe DF's instructor isn't giving him any leeway. seriously? it's your wedding, which has been planned for months and months. it's not like df is going on vacation last minute. ugh, i hate when teachers think their class is the most important thing in life. sorry... that just really grinds my gears.

I do hope your crafts go well :wizard: and i loved the Dawson's Creek reference.

Your craftiness is really amazing! I was trying to DIY but just said screw it and I'll support the great people on Etsy!

Thanks for the  I keep telling myself that the craziness is happening now, so the day will be frustration-free. DF and I had a long talk about it and he talked to some of his mentors at the union hall, and they don't think it's as big of a deal as the instructor is making it. So he decided to just stick with the original plan. He didn't want to add more stress to me :lovestruc before the wedding and was frustrated that they were being crazy. So hopefully everything will work out and he won't have to repeat the class finger's crossed.

I was feeling all angst-y so channeling my favorite Capeside residents just seemed right :lmao:

Thanks! It's not me at all. It's my amazing friends. If it were up to me, I'd just throw money at the "problem" and hope it went away :rotfl: We did a lot of embellishments to print your own kits. It really was cost effective and not too stressful!

Holy Moly 1 week! I hope its all going well, it sounds like you have everything under control :) Oh and btw you always said you were uncrafty like me lol! Thats so not true, your DIY stuff looks amazing! Now I feel like a slouch lol! The programs and menus look great, and great find at Michaels, I think I need to pay a trip there again...

So exciting that it is so close, talk to you soon chicky:goodvibes

Thanks Sam! I am freaking out a little - 'cuz we haven't started packing... but I have tomorrow off for the holiday, so I'm thinking I'll be fine.

Trust me - I'm so un-crafty! I just have awesome friends who are crafty :rotfl: Seriously though, all of the stuff (except the blankets - which I fully take no responsibility for my friend did them all) are kits from Michael's and/or JoAnn. So basically the extent of my craftiness was printing, assembling and sticking jewels on stuff.

You're not a slouch at all... in fact as I'm looking at my dining room table, trying to figure out how I'm going to pack all this stuff... I wish my friends hadn't force me out of my un-crafty ways :rotfl:

So updates of craftapoloza 2.0 is forthcoming... just waiting for the photos to load into photobucket.

So... a few of my super awesome friends came over again yesterday and we finished the last of the crafts.

We made tags for the "Bear Necessities" packs (Thanks to Tammy for sending me the art!)

And for our umbrellas

both of these will go in the welcome bags. Along with the Welcome Folders we assembled.

Then we moved on to the T-Shirts.

Here's a bit of background... A few months ago my sister and I decided that we were going to make/wear t-shirts for every day we're there. We thought it would be obnoxious and fun. As usual, I got a little over ambitious... and made all these plans... but we had trouble with the transfers, so we switched to rhinestones. I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Here's a failed transfer. It's not horrible, so I might still use it... but I'm not sure what we were doing wrong....

IMG_0114.jpg

And we embellished it with sparkles (cuz everything is better with sparkles)

IMG_0115.jpg

It's a really long strange story, but as the short version is that my grandma is obsessed with owls (she has a 15' carving of one in her front yard!) and so owls have become a joke with us, and we try to have coordinating owl something every trip. I couldn't not have owls for this trip. It started as a joke, but these came out super cute!
IMG_0088.jpg

And... for Sam... just to prove that I am uncrafty... and that my friends did all the work :rotfl:

IMG_0087.jpg

We also made skirts... I'm not sure we'll use these, they were like $1 each at Target. and they came out cute.

IMG_0089.jpg

I made this shirt after my friends left, but had an issue with the rhinestones in the crown. I'm still going to use it since I'd just be using it for 1 day - and not even the whole day... but see.. uncrafty!

IMG_0100.jpg

Now for the pieces I'm most excited about... I bought these terry lounge sets from disneyshopping.com (on clearance of course) that have mickey and tink patterns basically embossed in them. Then my friend Sheri did this to them:

IMG_0090.jpg

IMG_0091.jpg

Did I mention I have awesome friends!

I also bought T-shirts for the whole wedding party at disneyshopping.com ('cuz I knew I'd run out of ambition) and I'm glad I did because of our transfer problems. I'm pretty sure the guys would not have appreciated sparkley letters on their shirts:rotfl:

For the Best Man... whomever that is

IMG_0094.jpg

For DF

IMG_0095.jpg

For my sister's BF who is the usher, but we keep joking with him that he's the back-up for everything... best man, officiant, groom, etc.

For my sister:

For Me:

So that's pretty much it for craft-a-poloza. I have a few more things I need to do - print out the transportation schedule for my guests once we finalize it (I changed it again on Friday) and put those in the folders and then of course put the favors in their boxes once I pick them up on Wednesday.

I did pick up these cute bins at Target: I'm using Pink for Ceremony and welcome bag and green for reception to help keep everything organized and packed.

Okay I need to stop procrastinating and start packing. A week from today I'm getting Married :cool1:

zOMG! So much awesome all in one place! Those shirts et al look amazing ^_^

Thursday is going to be a lot of work putting all the welcome bags together but I think it's going to be worth it. Great ideas, plus, you do have the best friends in the world. I'm sorry I couldn't be there to help out but... you know how me and doing nice things don't really go together. Haha! On a similar note... your playlists are almost all done. I have to acquire a few more songs / varieties of music -- through perfectly legal means -- before I'm happy with them.

In other awesome news, the bachelor / bachelorette party is planned and ready to go. Friday night, Drinking Around the World in Epcot. ^_^
Here's our suggested gameplan:

Where to Go and What to Drink

Mexico: Cantina de San Angel
Fiesta Margarita
- 4 layers of flavor: lime, strawberry, mango, kiwi
Beer: Dos Equis, Tecate, Negra Modelo

Norway: Kringla Bakeri og Café
Viking Coffee
- kamora, coffee liquor, and Bailey’s
Beer: Carlsberg, Ringes

China: Joy of Tea / Lotus Blossom Café
Plum Wine
Peach Oolong Schnapps Slush
Beer: Tsing Tao, Macau

Germany: Sommerfest
*Host’s Suggestion: Get a pretzel here!
Jagermeister
Rumplemintz
Beer: Varies by season

Italy: Tutto Italia Kiosk
Italian Margarita
- Limoncello, grappa, and lemon / lime
Beer: Morettii, Peroni

Japan: Kaki Gori Kiosk / Yakitori House
Sake (hot or cold)
Beer: Kirin Ichiban

Morocco: Tangerine Café / Moorish Café
Moraccorita
- vodka, triple sec, lemon / lime
Beer: Casa

France: Les Vins de France / Boulangerie Patisserie
Grand Marnier Orange Slush
Nuvo – bright pink sparkling wine and vodka
Beer: Kronenbourg 1664

United Kingdom: Rose and Crown Pub
English Rose
– beefeater gin, apricot brandy, vermouth, juices
Welsh Dragon
– peach schnapps, melon liquor, crème de menthe, juices

Canada: Labatt Blue beer cart / Le Cellier’s
Beer: La Fin du Monde, Maudite, Molson

If anyone has any suggestions for where to go / what to drink that's different or more exciting than what I've got here, let me know! I haven't printed out the invite cards yet so the polls are open! Note: I figured no one would need help picking out a beer in the UK... so many delicious options.

I am determined to make it all the way around and have a La Fin du Monde in Canada. ^_^ It's just too perfect. Basically, the way I see it, we'll have 30 minutes in each country (skipping Africa b/c they don't have drinks, only ice cream... what?! and skipping USA b/c i have no desire to waste precious space in my tummy for a bud light).

Could be raining Friday night / evening. Anyone have any tips for dry spots?

ALSO, on all the sites I looked at for DatW suggestions, everyone has a disclaimer that says "DO NOT ride Mission Space after completing Drinking Around The World." ^_^' that sounds like a terrible idea.

Counting down the days! I'm so excited. 4 days 'til Disney World. 6 days 'til the wedding!

Packing? What is this packing you speak of?

Ugg... I so did that once during the F&W festival. Lesson learned 3 margs + Mission space = badness  After our escpade, I'm not sure the monorail ride is a good idea :rolleyes1

Yeah, I'm not going to lie... we'd have none of the awesomeness if it was just us :rotfl2: We'd do like one thing and then say screw it!

I dont think the welcome bag assembly will be too painful. I did most of the "pretty-ing" so it should be just a matter of putting the stuff in the bags and tying the cards on them. Plus we have Bob and Greg... so we might not have to do anything :lmao:

Just for you... I feel we need a musical interlude... 'cuz we're in the .... final countdown (the lovely Ms. Panic a.k.a. DSis found music for this on the harp, and wanted me to walk down the aisle to it)

Packing is necessary and painful. So much stuff. Two suitcases. Bad.

I'll come and stalk with you!:goodvibes

Feel free to stalk away! We'll be in the Poly lobby at 3:30. You guys can come an taunt me with Dole whips :rotfl:

So meet at the Poly at 3:00pm to go grab some dole whips Stacey? :rotfl:

I love the owl shirts, my grandma loved owls too and I almost bought a necklace with an owl on it to wear in memory of her, but I didn't.

As for DATW I suggest a snake bite in the UK, very yummy, just had one this afternoon :drinking1

Okay, so I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to come to work today :scared1::scared1: I'm getting stuff done (no I swear I'm doing real work not just posting on DIS), but I'm stressed to the max right now thinking about everything I have to do tonight still. We weighed our suitcase last night and it was 200 lbs. Oops, we'll have to re-pack that :rotfl:

We leave super early tomorrow, so I'm not sure if I'll get back on before then or not, so I just wanted to pop in and say adios to everyone (except of course Stacey and Becky who will be taunting me with Dole Whips on Sunday :cutie:) and thanks for all the help!

Wish me luck getting all my crap into just 4 suitcases!

wow 200 lbs! That's crazy! Good luck re-packing. Oh, and Jeff says he is interested in crashing your DP on Saturday :rotfl:
