I'm tired. What about you? Last night I spent a few hours with my nephews and they wear me out. I'm sure you know the feeling.

Yeah, that guy is weird. But he sure does seem happy. Can you believe his age? He must be doing something right.

I do know that feeling! I'm getting extra rest this week for 2 reasons:
1. The Mets start their next series on Wednesday. The games will be late.
2. I'm watching Samantha & Dana next weekend (13th-14th-15th) while their parents go out of town.

Chell - I have met you IRL and was able to spend sometime with you. I find you to be an amazing women who has overcome major changes in her life.

And I am proud to say that you are a friend and anyone that doesn't take the time to get to know you, that is their loss.

Do you have anything special planned for the girls?

We've got lots of plans. I bought some plain potholders & fabric paints. So they'll paint them, and give them to mom & dad when they come home. We're making pizza for dinner Friday night. (frozen dough, my sauce, lots of cheese). Saturday, Dana has a soccer game & then we're going to go to lunch at the local pizza place. Grandpa's coming for dinner Saturday night (spaghetti & meatballs). Sunday we'll go to 9 AM Mass, since Samantha's in the children's choir. Then Dunkin Donuts for donuts & milk (for them) & coffee (for me). Mom & Dad will come home sometime Sunday.

If the Cards were playing anyone else, I'd be rooting for them....but I know you'll understand why I am not.

That's fair. I've always said the Cards have the best fans in baseball!

My older niece (Samantha, age 7), is a Mets fan all the way. I was babysitting them last Friday. The Mets weren't playing, but I wanted to watch the Yanks. She refused since "it's not the Mets!".

ETA: the Mets-Cards game on Saturday might be at 4. So they'll get to watch a whole game!

ETA (again): just got an email from the Mets. Saturday's game is at 7:30. So they will get to watch the beginning only!
