How many pumpkins are you planning on getting? I just love pumpkins! Do they have any special events there or do you just go pick out pumpkins like you do a Christmas tree?

It was great! We didn't stick around too long because we decided to go see "Man of the Year", then had to have BBQ for dinner. We are going back tonight though so I can see Junior Brown play. We are probably going to get some henna tattoos too since they are only $5.

Did you go back?

We went to a farm to pick pumpkins... they have some beautiful ones up front already picked but the girls seem to think that the best ones are in the farm ready to be picked so we search and search for them to pick the "right" one.

We let them each get one from the pumpkin patch... we already had 3 from the grocery store (I couldn't wait- we bought them a few weeks ago) Then we went to Sams Club because they are so cheap there we got a bag of small pumpkins and a bag of goards for decorations. Then 3 more big ones.

I love to use them to decorate. So we won't cut all of them, but we did get a few extra because my in laws will be visiting the weekend before so if they want to cut some they can.

The girls had fun we went to get their costumes too yesterday. DD-4 is going to be a American Idol contestant (pop star type thing) DD-7 is going to be a witch, but a pretty witch not a warty witch as she says it. DD-9 is going to be a devil.

So basically their true colors are coming out :lmao:

The other day someone made a comment to me and that made a light bulb go off in my head about people like this.

I was on the phone with someone and she was telling me about a phone call she received from a friend who is currently pregnant (a very high risk pregnancy), her husband just returned from being MIA for several weeks, he has been having an affair for a while, she recently moved hundreds of miles away to help give them a "fresh" start, etc. Well the person I was talking with said she was thinking that she didn't want to hear all of the other ladies problems because she had enough problems of her on and didn't want to hear her whine. I was floored! Here this lady is going through a VERY difficult time and has no one to turn to and the one person she felt like she could turn to didn't even care. My heart is breaking for this lady and I don't even know her.

Basically what I'm saying is that this made me realize the problem really is with the other people, not me like I've always thought. Some people just aren't as caring and/or kind as I give them credit for. **SIGH**
i agree

Chell, I'm a little late getting here. But I hope you are feeling better now. Some people are just rude, others have rude days. I've never seen you be rude to anyone so I don't get how someone would want to make you feel bad.
Anyway, if someone was just having a bad day, they need to apologize.

In the meantime, from reading this thread, you've found a lot of people that love you. :goodvibes

Lisa it sounds like you all had a great day! Sounds like so much fun. I wonder why we don't do the pumpkin patch thing around here? It would be loads of fun!

We went back to Oktoberfest last night but didn't do the henna thing. We did get to see Junior Brown. We arrived about 20 minutes before he took the stage and the way people were scattered around we were able to walk right up to the stage. What can I say? I'm spoiled and used to being right up front. So it was great to be able to do that last night. :cool1: I'm just getting ready to go through pictures now. I hope I got some good ones.
