I hope you knowledgeable people can answer a few questions for me.

We have booked our WDW vacation with the dining plan that includes 1 TS, 1 QS, 1 SC daily. We have 7 nights booked. There are 3 adults and 1 child (4 yrs old) in our traveling party. We are also not lunch eaters.

What I figured out so far for dining is: 7 TS and 7 QS used.
Arrival day: Resort lunch/snack QS; T-Rex Dinner TS
2nd day: Crystal Palace Brkfst TS; Cosmic Ray's Dinner QS
3rd day: Tusker's Brkfst TS; Tusker's Dinner TS
4th day: (Discovery Cove day so breakfast & lunch away); Resort dinner/snack QS
5th day: Resort Brkfst QS; Pecos Bill Dinner QS
6th day: Akershus Brkfst TS; Raglan Road Dinner TS
7th day: Resort Brkfst QS; Be Our Guest Dinner TS
Check out: Resort Brkfst QS

First question: If we have any QS credits left per person how can we exchange these for snack credits?
Second question: Where would we be allowed to get items to take home using the snack credits?
Third question: We would like to bring home sweets such as Mickey rice crispie treats - where would we get these?

Thank you in advance for answering. Cheers!

If you are staying 7 nights you will have 7 of each category to use for each person. It depends on the CM that you ask if they will let you use QS for snacks. I have found that the CM at resorts are more likely to let you get snacks. You can get them in the food court.

Thanks! I was confused. I thought I read that the Dining Plan starts the day you arrive and doesn't end until midnight the day you checked out. My mistake.

Your times are correct . It's just that you receive credits for each hotel night , not the total of all of your days. You look like you will be having lots of " good eating". Enjoy. pixiedust:

We figured out that we will be trying Dole whips as snack credits. Just not sure what to do with the snack credits that are left over. Where can you redeem them for snacks that are packaged to bring home?

We have used leftover QS credits in the candy store right on Main Street, USA in the MK. We got 3 Rice Krispie treats for each dining credit.

Leftover snack credits can be used just about anywhere foods are served. Your resort food court , the candy store, Starbucks for a pastry, the bakery in France at Epcot , etc. There is a list of ALL snack credit items somewhere on these boards, but, I am not sure where. Good luck. :flower1:

Buzzrelly, do you know the name of the candy store? It will be our first time at WDW.

I'm sorry...I don't recall the name. It might just be Main Street Candy Shop? But it's at the very beginning of Main Street, on the right hand side of you are facing the castle, just past Tony's.

When you switch a QS meal for snacks it equals 3 snacks right? I haven't been since they changed to this new rule. Do you have to get the same 3 snacks or just any three available?

I agree with a PP who mentioned Goofy's Candy Company at Downtown Disney. You can actually custom make your own rice crispy treats. Firstly, you get a Mickey rice crispy treat dipped in your choice of dark, milk or white chocolate. Secondly, you get your treat completely rolled in your choice of butterfingers, oreo, m and m's, etc. Finally, you get your choice of dark, milk or white chocolate drizzled over the treat. Then they put it in a 'carrier box' for you to take to go - takes us about 3 days to eat! Huge treats. We always use up a few snack credits here at the end of our trip and carry the boxes in our carry on for the flight home. You can also use snack credits for fudge - it has traveled home well for us.
There are also pre-packaged treats here with things like gummies / pretzels ...
BTW we love dole whips! Enjoy!

We purchased several "make your own" rice krispy treats" while we were in DTD. The person who waited on us would only wrap them in a plastic bag. (Similar to what a lollipop would be wrapped in.) I would have loved a box and asked for one but he said that this is how they package all the treats. ??

Really? I remember thinking how cool it was getting the box (even with a handle) - that's too bad if they are only using wrap now as it won't travel nearly as well on the plane. I hope when we go again this August that they are using the boxes again.

You get one credit per night but can use them up to midnight on checkout day, so it looks like you will use them all up.

If you are paying for the dining plan (so not on free dining) the best value is to use the QS credits for QS as that meal has around a $20 value, but three snacks are around $15 so you are losing money. But converting one QS to three snacks is better than losing the credit altogether.

You can also use your snack credits at Starbucks. Last year we got the large choco chip frappachino as a snack credit. Delicious and refreshing on a hot day.

We have used left over snack credits at Seashore Sweets at the Boardwalk. We brought home a big box of delicious fudge, cookies & brownies one year. It was a great family souvenir!
You can also find treats to take home at your resort gift shop or food court. Our favorite place to use snack credits during our stay us at Karamell Kuche in EPCOT.

There is a sticky right at the top of this forum of confirmed snacks--http://www.disboards.com/threads/2014-confirmed-snacks-thread.3215018/

Also OP, it is easy once you get there, there is a logo on every snack item, parks and resorts!! You will have a great time, but as a multi trip vet, make sure you start using them right away! They tend to build up fast!
