What are your favorite desserts/treats at DL and DCA? There are many options that LOOK amazing; but taste-wise I haven't had much luck. What are some of your favorites?? :)

I'm sure there are lots more fancy desserts, but my must have treat on every trip is the beignets from Jazz Kitchen Express in DTD. They are soooo good! For us, they're more a grab and go treat instead of a sit down, fancy dessert, but I swear these are the best beignets outside of New Orleans!

*le sigh* I save my calories all year for my Disney desserts.

I personally don't have a favourite I like to try different things so I typically grab a different slice of cake with dinner each day (I've yet to have a chocolate one I didn't like), and various snacks throughout the day. The cookies at Pooh's corner are great (I think I had white chocolate macadamia nut), oh and the super large "turtles" pecans with chocolate and caramel, delicious.

I've never yet tried the tigger tail that people rave about but maybe this year!

Come to think of it the only dessert I never cared for were the cupcakes at Goofy's Kitchen.

Oh...there are so many yummy desserts to choose from...
  • The Beignet at the Jazz Kitchen or Jazz Kitchen Express are very good.
  • Chef Cookie's Deep Dish at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ
  • Cupcakes at Jolly Holiday (the Matterhorn Macaroon is also good)

I loved the mini mousse cones and the cake pop trios are Carthay Circle lounge! They are fairly petite, but indecently rich.

The DF and I also really love sharing a caramel apple from the place in DTD.

Brownie and Strawberry Skewer at Paradise Garden Grill. Mmmmm!

I always think the cupcakes look so good, but I've yet to be happy with one.

Totally agree! We took our boys to try them when they were 3 & 2. We told them they were like a doughnut. When they saw the beignets, they started crying because they weren't round with a hole in the middle, LOL! All we had to do was put some powdered sugar in their mouth and the quickly realized what they had was much better then a doughnut! We try to make that a tradition on every trip. We still tease them about crying over them. Haha.

We are ice cream people mostly......so we usually just grab a dole whip or a cone at Gibson Girl or Cozy Cones or Ghiradelli. We also LOVE the huge cinnamon rolls at Jolly Holiday. Yum!

The mini churros with chocolate dipping sauce at the cozy cone in Carsland

For DL, it's one of the frosted cookies from the Fantasmic dessert box, but I have no idea where else I can get it and t was amazing. If anyone knows - I would love to find it. The soft sugar cookie with the lavender frosting.

At DTD we love the chocolate bread pudding at the Jazz Kitchen. They pour white and dark chocolate over the hot pudding.

We are trying the Jazz Kitchen for the first time this October just because of this! I must try it!!! LOL

cookies at the bakery at Pooh's shop (we usually have orders to take home if people know we're going)

Last time I discovered they have hand dipped ice cream bars at Clarabelle's. You can get Pop Rocks on them, how cool is that!

i can't believe no one has mentioned the matterhorn macaroons from jolly holiday - they are the one must have sweet on each trip.

also can't go wrong with a dole whip float IMO.

Hehehe. This is exactly why I am so interested in desserts. I try to be good all year, but walking down Main Street was torture!! All those great sights and smells!
