I have a not so sweet DD who will be turning 16 soon
, and need some budget friendly ideas for how to keep a bunch (35-40) of teenagers busy - OUTSIDE - and occupied, and suggestions of maybe little trinkets to give out. DD is by far NOT a girly girl. She would much rather be riding her 4-wheeler through mud puddles than even thinking of going to a dance or putting on a dress of any kind
.
She's having friends over, and we're cooking the food, and having a little campfire and such, but what are some other ideas. Bobbing for apples is a MUST (don't ask, these kids have been together for some 6-10yrs and ALL their parties they ALWAYS bob for apples) but am looking for other suggestions, too, please!
Was thinking of doing some personalized M&M's, as possibly the only 'trinket' to give out as party favor, as they can get expensive, and DD LOVES her candy, and I'm pretty sure it will be a hit with her friends. But, I also am open to other suggestions.
Mind you, another one of those who has 'lost their jobs' (DH and I both). I do have another one, but DH is still unemployed. We are comfortable, don't live beyond means, but don't have a lot of extra, but promised DD a cook-out of sorts for her 16th, and DH is all for it.
So any and all suggestions for non-girly girl ideas would be much appreciated!
