Like many of you, I have been to WDW so many countless times and I have done all the odds & ends. From Torch Lighting Ceremony (Poly) to Ladybug Release (GF).

I am trying to figure out more "other" things to do while around the parks/resorts/property! Any help with this would be so helpful to myself and others I am sure. I am down to the nitty gritty!

(ended up going to DL last year for the first 2 times since I was burnt up with WDW but I am going back for an 11day trip again :wizard:)

Maybe some of the tours they offer in the lobby of some of the hotels during the day? I did one at Wilderness Lodge a few years ago and it was pretty good (not sure if they still offer it though)

Other no-cost options include the campfire singalong at Fort Wilderness, board games in the Iron Spike Room at Wilderness Lodge, and there's this beach between the Polynesian and the Wedding Pavilion that no one ever uses, so one day we packed a picnic lunch (including a glass bottle of wine, which I'm now realizing is probably against the rules and not safe- oops!) and had that little beach all to ourselves!

One pricey option I did a few years ago was Parasailing at the Contemporary. I'm not an adventurous person, but I was given it as a birthday gift and it was so much fun! Same goes for Richard Petty ride-along; which had to be to this day the fastest I've ever gone in a car!

Did a golf lesson on property too. I felt so stupid and uncoordinated, but still enjoyed it! Sometimes it's good to step out of your comfort zone, so maybe try something that you normally wouldn't go for to see how it is. Whatever you do, have fun!:cool1:

It kind of depends on when you are going but one of my favorite trips was a weekend that we spent almost the entire time at the camp ground. We went canoeing, walked the paths (lots of wild life), we wanted to do the archery but it sold out when we went (tip, get there early for this). We love doing the wagon ride there too (not the carriage ride but the wagon). These are all low cost options too. I don't think anything was above $30.00 almost 2 years ago.

We try to do one special tour a year so that we don't get "burnt out" too. We live here and do weekends often. This year I'm determined to do the things at HS we've never done just because I think the park stinks so bad. LOL We are doing a special seminar at F&WF and Keys to the Kingdom tour. That should get us through for a while. We've also done nothing but resort weekends. Pool time, stuff in the hotel time like special tours etc. We did a cool one at Kidani Village. You walk around the hotel and jot down all the proverbs written on the walls. It's a ton of them too. I think we counted close to 50. We took it to the front desk and they gave us a prize for doing it. Charms for our Magic Bands. Don't know if they still do it or what they give you for doing the game but it was cool and a great way to get some exercise in other than the parks. Ask at the front desk of any hotel for special games/tours they may have.

wants to do the behind the scenes tour of the Land.

Animal Kingdom has (or at least it did have) a tour of Boma and Jiko where they will learn about the food and architecture.

There is also animal watching with night vision goggles. That can be inconvenient if you are not staying there.

Wilderness Lodge has a tour in the morning. The Lodge is influenced by the national park lodges in the west.

And one day I will get to Dining with an Imagineer.

We had lunch and Whispering Canyon and then took the path from the Lodge to Fort Wilderness. It was quite relaxing and saw many animals including deer that stood just a couple feet from us.

I also think it would be fun to go to the towel folding class each resort host a couple times a week.

As for spending money- you could rent a surrey bike at Boardwalk or a motorboat at BW, DD, or BLT.

of the towel folding class. I assume you learn to replicate the towels you sometimes get in the room.

I'm not taking it. The kids would expect one every day.
