Poo on that cm at check in. She should have been more helpful. At least you got to drive to POFQ and try the burger. It looks interesting... as does the steak sandwich. The philly cheesesteak at Cosmic Rays in MK is kinda gross... the one you got there looks a bit more "authentic"

Karin, first, the pictures of my "home" are beautiful...thank you for sharing.

How awful of that CM!!!! If it were in fact a CM in training, they need to have someone with them at all times to be sure they know about that Disney rule of "always smiling and taking care of the customer!". I hope things got better at CSR after that.

Your lunch at POFQ looks really yummy. We visited there in 2008, but we didn't have anything to eat as we were on our way to the airport. We'll have to try that yummy looking burger.

Well that girl sounds like she was not meant to be in a position dealing with the public, some people are just not cut out for it. I bet she won't last very long.
Who knows maybe she is like that all the time, publice or not.
POR looks great, I am going to make it over there one of these days to have some biegnets with tons of powdered sugar.

Oh my Goodness... I was in Disney February 19th-26th too! Exactly those dates! How funny. We stayed at Old Key West. I can't wait to start my trip report on it because it was SO fun, but I have to finish up my January TR first.

I'm loving your TR so far! I love love LOVE that you always take food pictures. It just makes the whole report! I can't wait to read more

Hi Karin! I missed posting after your Ice Cream treat - it seems the DIS turns off at midnight each night, and that's about the time I'm here. I'll try to hurry this time! Of course, I love the bags, and the Ice Cream looks wonderful! I'm hoping we will visit G's when we are in SF on our Disney Cruise next month!

Love the hat! Tom looks like a mad scientist in that one!

That CM was certainly Un-Magical I hope things get better. When we checked into Disneyland Hotel a few years ago, we had the same thing happen. We had a wonderful, sweet CM who got me an autographed Birthday pic and an upgraded view in honor of my birthday, but she said our room wasn't ready and we would have to call back perdiodically to see if it was ready. I thought that was a little strange.

Karin I am enjoying the pics of CSR, since we are staying there a couple of nights before our cruise. We have stayed at WDW many times and I am used to some CM at the resorts being less than magical. Like you, we try not to let it set the tone for our vacation. I don't expect perfection from a WDW vacation and when it is perfect, it's like icing on the cake. I hope the rest of your stay was pleasant.

What a nasty little CM...doesnt she know that when you work at WDW you need to keep a huge grin plastered on your face at all time???

That burger has me drooling...I love shrimp po boys and I love burgers...and we are staying at the POFQ in May and Oct so I hope to try it soon!

She really stunned me! And what's more was that there were a few CMs standing behind her, just chatting!

The burger was seriously good! I think we will pop over to our FQ neighbours when we are back at our OKW retreat in the summer! Only 123 more days!

What a horrible check-in experience. I sure hope I don't get that CM when I check in in two months!

This was my first real bad check in! We had a wonderful time last year and I guess the difference between the two experiences was what stunned me so much!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for that she is "on break" when you'll check in!

Wow that Creole Burger looks good, have to try that if we can fit it into our plans. Is it very spicy?

Oh, the check-in isn't over yet! But I don't want to give too much away!

The Burger was really good and it was well spiced, but not spicy hot!

FYI about the shrimp po boy at AK..the shrimp and such are very good but the bread wasnt great. I completely took it apart and made a shrimp salad out of it LOL

Thanks for the tip! I am so hoping Disney changes their bread again - the "healthier" option just dissolves.
But the idea of making a shrimp salad out of it sounds good - and we have never been to Restaurantosaurus anyway!

She was not in any Disney mood, let's just keep it at that!
We didn't like the cheese steak - we had a great one at The Plaza years ago, but this one just wasn't anything like it! All I could taste were the green peppers and onions!

Well, her name tag read "earning my ears", so we assumed she was in training, but her attitude was just not Disney like and we did see her again!

We loved the POFQ lunch - that's why we are so happy having a car, being able to go somewhere at the spur of the moment!
But please try the burger if you visit there again!

Now, after some time, we laugh when we think back to our check-in experience, but it sure made you come back to reality then! I have never experienced anything like it before, not even at the values and I usually pay my AP reservations at check in.

And YES, we WILL go back for the burger - it was really yummy!

The popcorn shrimp were not stuck together, but there was some remoulade that "glued" the burger and shrimp together!

I don't know what was wrong with her, but I think she just was that way - we came across her again and she didn't act any different!

I LOVE Disney food too - that's why I run a lot of Dining reviews! This trip we talked a lot about the fact, that we no longer go for the parks, but the food!
To us, so many things you all take for granted are great things to do when on a US vacation, like visiting Malls. We don't have anything that big here, so a day offsite being window shopping is a treat too!
