I agree.... in some ways, in other ways it is a WHOLE LOT EASIER for me!!

I am single with a DD who is 17. If I was still married, we'd NEVER get to go to WDW!! Ex husband never liked to have any FUN! My DD and I are going soon to have the time of our lives - mickey ears and all!

Single mom of 2 GREAT boys 16 & 9. Anyone going the beginning of August? We usually go at the end of August but with HS football practice we had to change our plans this year. I know it will be HOT--we can handle the heat but I am worried about the crowds....

I have some friends who won't do disney 'alone' with their kiddos but I find that mine get along so much better at disney....... I hardly have to get onto them, well I also threaten them that if they fight we will head straight back to the room, no questions asked.....

Hi All This is a great idea for a thread.

I am a single mom too and have been for the last 10 years. I have four kids.

My oldest DS25 finally moved out in January after finishing his degree and getting a good job.

My DD19 is a full time college student, living at home.

My DD17 is a Senior in High school and is planning on going to college nearby and live at home as well.

My youngest, DS13 is in 7th grade and is currently home schooled.

I just made reservations today for our next trip to WDW January 2 - January 14, 2011.

We are all very excited and can't wait.

My oldest is sad that he can't join us since he would have to pay his own way.
