I have enjoyed the blast from the past! Thank you so much for sharing.

Question: why are those shoes in that tree? I don't remember seeing that one!

I think the deal with the shoes is that it is tradition for a CM (not all... just the ferry boat CM's) on their last day to tie the shoelaces of the shoes from their uniform together and throw them as high as they can into the tree.

Great updates! :thumbsup2 I must say, ToT is one of my all time favorites!! :lovestruc But it is a little scary!

My vote is go with the regular DP! I think it's totally worth the money!! :) That way you can get some new experiences. Plus, I think Shelby will LOVE CRT when she is two! That's just me, though! ;)

Awwww, that picture of Brady leaving MK was so cute! He's a true Disney boy! :goodvibes

Love the updates! I loved taking the ferry from WL to MK, but we never had to go in rain, which might have been annoying! :rotfl:

That shoe tree is so strange, I don't remember seeing that!

And I tried commenting yesterday and my computer was acting so weird, but I love the cabins! They look really cute, I bet it was so much fun to stay there!:thumbsup2

I'm having such a hard time like you are remembering what we did years ago! :rotfl: I thought it might get easier when i looked at pictures, but nope! Kind of sad, actually! You spend so much money on a Disney vacation only to forget most of it 2 years later! :rotfl2:

Yay! I found you!! I just finished your trip report and jumped over here to see the plans for your next trip! So excited to be along for the ride! :cool1:

I don't ever have to ride it again & I am fine by that! LOL!

I think that is what we will do after all!

He looked so sad!

Thanks! In the rain, sucked! It was cold & it stung!

The cabins were great!

I look at the pics & just basically said, I'll just put them all together in one post!

So here are a list of things that we have never done or didn't do last time because Miss Shelby was too scared.

Key code:
NBD: Never Been Done
DDLT: Didn't Do Last Trip

Magic Kingdom:
Walt Disney World Railroad-for me, NBD & DDLT
Peter Pan's Flight-DDLT
Dream Along With Mickey-NBD, just took pics while passing by
Snow White's Scary Adventure-NBD
Dumbo-DDLT
Winnie the Pooh-NBD, but I really don't care for %@#! bear
Astro Orbiter-NBD
Tomorrowland Transit Authority-NBD
Carousel of Progress-NBD
Wishes-NBD

Hollywood Studios:
Sounds Dangerous-NBD
Indiana Jones-NBD
Lights, Motors, Action-NBD
The Magic of Disney Animation-NBD
Fantasmic-NBD

Animal Kingdom:
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail-NBD
Wildlife Express Train-NBD
Habitat Habit-NBD
Conservation Station-NBD
Affection Section-NBD
Maharajah Jungle Trek-NBD
Kali River Rapids-DDLT
TriceraTop Spin-NBD

Epcot:
Ellen's Energy Adventure-NBD
Honey I Shrunk the Audience-NBD
The Countries, minus Japan & America-NBD
Maelstrom-NBD
Illuminations-NBD

So what do you think? Are these must see, or did we do well by skipping them?

I'm a little late, but here are my thoughts:

Walt Disney Railroad - a good time to rest
Peter Pan's Flight - always a long line, not worth waiting for, if line is short, jump on
Dumbo - is a must do for us
Carousel of Progress - is a MUST do for us, it's one of my kids favorite ride, no matter how corney it is!!
Wishes - please try your best to see this

Indiana Jones, Lights, Motor, Action and Fantasmic are worth seeing.

We haven't done most the things on your list for AK, besides Kali River Rapids and Triceratop spin. Kali is fun, but you will get wet and Triceratop Spin is something Madi always does.

Honey I shrunk the audience is one of our least favorites, we only did it once and probably won't ever do it again.
Maelstrom is fun
Illuminations is a must see.

Okay, so I have to put my 2¢ in here...

So here are a list of things that we have never done or didn't do last time because Miss Shelby was too scared.

Key code:
NBD: Never Been Done
DDLT: Didn't Do Last Trip

Magic Kingdom:
Walt Disney World Railroad-for me, NBD & DDLT We didn't get a chance to do this either, but I am determined this time.
Peter Pan's Flight-DDLT We did this with a FP the Standby time was 45 minutes, but we only waited about 5. My kids (9, 7, + 2 at the time loved it!
Dream Along With Mickey-NBD, just took pics while passing by We skipped this - too crowded
Snow White's Scary Adventure-NBD Skipped this. My DD#2 is very sensitive and I didn't want to traumatize her after reading that some kids were scared.
Dumbo-DDLT We did this one! It was fun because it was a classic, and it's on our must do list because it will be my Mom's 1st trip and she really, really wants to ride it. If it was just us again? We'd probably skip it, once is enough.
Winnie the Pooh-NBD, but I really don't care for %@#! bear Again, FP. Standby was 60+ minutes (in late January, a very slow time) but we waited about 10.
Astro Orbiter-NBD I'm not good with heights, so we skipped this one.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority-NBD This was s super nice break in mid-afternoon for us
Carousel of Progress-NBD We missed this one. How did we miss this?
Wishes-NBD I knew we were coming back in December, so I purposely skipped this so my kids wouldnt have done everything before my parents. This is a must do for us in December.

Hollywood Studios: We didn't even get to HS when we went last, so I can't comment except to say that we are definitely going this time!!
Sounds Dangerous-NBD
Indiana Jones-NBD
Lights, Motors, Action-NBD
The Magic of Disney Animation-NBD
Fantasmic-NBD

Animal Kingdom: General comment - We have a really excellent zoo at home and this didn't feel much different overallexcept for the rides and shows. That being said...
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail-NBDVery cool theming. It was too cold when we went to see many animals.
Wildlife Express Train-NBD Missed this
Habitat Habit-NBD Missed this too!
Conservation Station-NBD We enjoyed this if only because we got to meet Jiminy Cricket, Pocahontas, and Rafiki there.
Affection Section-NBD Very crowded and my 2yo kept getting pushed away from the animals by other kids. Most of the animals were in a roped off area eating. Probably just bad timing for us.
Maharajah Jungle Trek-NBD Really well themed. Animals missing due to temps (it was 50º the day we were there).
Kali River Rapids-DDLT Didn't ride. Too cold!
TriceraTop Spin-NBD Dumbo, but with dinosaurs. My kids still loved it.

Epcot: We didn't do any of these either! Hahahaha!
Ellen's Energy Adventure-NBD
Honey I Shrunk the Audience-NBD
The Countries, minus Japan & America-NBD
Maelstrom-NBD
Illuminations-NBD

So what do you think? Are these must see, or did we do well by skipping them?

Will you let us know wha youdecide to add in or skip?

The shoe tree was funny....I was wondering what that was and I am glad to see I wasn't the only one!! Your boys look so young!

I think the DDP is totally worth it and especially if you are doing some ADRs that cost more $$$! I now calculate what we would probably eat and compare to see which is the best deal!

I'm not sure who the Travel Agent is with but I used Dreams Unlimited and I loved them! They were free and I was given so many updates and they made my ADRs. It was wonderful, especially since my regular life is so hectic! I wish that was my job! I could book Disney vacations all day long!! :yay:

Oh, yes - you should absolutely see Wishes! You cry when you see the castle? You'll be flat out bawling when they sing the Wishes theme song at the end of the show! There is NOTHING more Disney than that. :goodvibes

I have heard this over and over again here. I am so beyond excited to finally see it this year! Can't. Wait. :goodvibes

So true, so true! When I listen to it in the car (I had to buy the cd) and the kids are singing, or even working out and listening to it on my ipod, I'm in tears!

My boys look like babies! So hard to believe that was only 3 years ago!

The travel agent is Angela Kroons with Magical Travel. I have heard about nothing but the best from her! Her "vacation" this past week was to be at WDW for work. I want a job like that!!!

Oh, yes - you should absolutely see Wishes! You cry when you see the castle? You'll be flat out bawling when they sing the Wishes theme song at the end of the show! There is NOTHING more Disney than that. :goodvibes

I am hoping Shelby will allow! I wanted to see it last time!

There's a CD?!?! Where can I acquire said CD? Do I have to wait til I get to the parks?

Yes, the CD was acquired at the parks about 3 years ago, probably the best purchase I've made! :woohoo:

Sweet! Going on my shopping list! Thanks for the heads up!

Not even googling the cd until I see Wishes myself:lmao:

I just wanted to suggest that if you guys do watch Wishes and Shelby can't handle the noise, you can always duck into a shop or restaurant with her. A lot of parents also brought earplugs for their little kids, at least that I noticed while I was working there. But, basically, the further away from the castle you are, the less noisy it is. The train station platform is actually a very good viewing area for that. It's far enough that the noise isn't particularly bad, but you still get a great view. Get there early, though, because it gets fairly crowded up there :flower3:
