Not crowded despite SWGE opening

Our family is at Disneyland this week. We will be here until next Wednesday. Disneyland and California Adventure are SURPRISINGLY uncrowded. I'd rate crowds at maybe 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. And SWGE opens today. Literally there is plenty of walking room and even the most popular rides have standby wait times of only 20 mins. Now 4 PM and both parks are at less than half capacity. Are people staying away because they thought Star Wars would make it too crowded? Here is a picture of Main Street at 4:10 PM, facing towards Tomorrowland.

Either everyone is afraid of the crowds or the reservation system really worked!

It seems as if people really wanted to avoid it. I know that I would.
