I actually found one last night that I really like that is sort of biblical and a little more common, so right now we're at a stalemate.
That's true, I never thought about using my big long name as a middle name. Thank you!
See, the funny thing is, I was so sure (the first time around) that because we were having a son, he would look just like my husband. So we went with the full on Italian name, and we loved it.
Imagine my surprise when he was born, and there were reddish glints in his hair.
And then as he got a couple days older, it became apparent that he looked just like my Irish side of the family. Beautiful red auburn hair and my fair skin. He is the most Irish looking Italian named boy you'll ever see. But, for us, it fits, you know?
So part of me is thinking that this time, I really need to see the little bean before I make a decision, but I'm also reminded of the fact that they can change as they grow older. For example, my dad (Italian) started out blond and his hair turned black when he got older.
You just never know. That's why I'm so big on meanings of names, which I forgot to mention. I feel it's important to have a name that means something good.
I bolded my favorites there. I have to tell you, I absolutely love Kian, pronounced Key-an. My husband is having a hard time wrapping his mind around a Gaelic / Irish name. It should be pretty apparent (since I slipped and let it be known that people call me Kat) that my name begins with a K, so I thought that would be kind of cool to have a little boy with a K name.
Remind me how to pronounce that again. I know it's not like you spell it.
