Not All Treasure Is Silver And Gold, Mate - *Update 9-17* P60

I have such a cute image of your DS in a mini Haunted Mansion costume. :cutie:

I'm glad he was game to ride HM and that he liked it. That can be a bit scary for the little ones.

I've never had a turkey leg, my thing is I'd love to try it but don't want to make a mess of myself eating it. :rotfl2:

It's actually not as messy as you might think, but I highly recommend sharing with someone else. Perhaps Marc when you guys go. :goodvibes

Make sure you get a ice cream sandwich next week. . .they are awesome! I can't wait to share one with dh!

Oh my gosh! I think that would be the cutest thing ever!! (ds in a HM outfit) The CMs at the HM just freak me out. I could never work there. I would lose it and start laughing hysterically!

The Bakery was closed for 10 days?? That's too many! I love the breakfast sandwiches there. Yummy! I have to say though, that a Dole Whip, Casey's & a turkey leg all in one day does sound pretty good.

Do you happen to know if they have lactose free ice cream? I would have to share, and my mom is definitely lactose intolerant.

It's funny you say that, because I would love to work there.

Essentially, you get paid to be mean and creepy all day long. It sure as heck beats the sugary sweet Disney princess attitude I have to have at work right now! :rotfl2:

I know, I was shocked! But we were very lucky food wise, so I really couldn't get to upset about it.

I have to say that I like the food theme of the Magic Kingdom day! What better place to eat yummy junk? Such a shame about the Bakery though. I hope you were able to find something to assuage the pain. :goodvibes

THE BAKERY WAS CLOSED?

oh man. I'm rolling along, in sugar and fat heaven and that was like a splash of cold water!

:rotfl2:

I :worship: your food theme. I am not that brave. More accurately I'd be worried about paying for it later but I sure wouldn't keep anyone else from it!

:thumbsup2

Of course me, I'd have skipped everything to go straight to the ice cream sandwich as big as your head.
:cloud9:

I had no idea you coulds skip the stretching room....

I did however, insist to DH that we skip the stretching room.

Cool tip! I didn't know you could do that!

DH, DS, and I shared a giant turkey leg in Tomorrowland.

That's DH's food fantasy, too. Haven't accomplished it yet, though!

And I quote, "What do you mean the bakery is closed?"

Oh no! Isn't there somewhere else (not in MK) that makes the ice cream sandwiches? I know I read it somewhere, but can't remember now.

Denise

What a day! Gorging an all your wildest food fantasies, hitting the TTA, and getting your dear little one introduced to the quintessential Disney attraction. What could be better, indeed?! Oh yeah, an ice cream sandwich as big as your head. Think "In 2 days!" 2 SHORT DAYS!!

I'm so glad that your DS liked HM. I remember we were really worried about my younger niece the first time she rode. When we asked her at the end how she liked it, she told us it needed more ghosts. :rotfl: We don't worry about her with scary things anymore.

That's a shame about the bakery. It's always when your in the mood for something, isn't it?

I think the Magic Kingdom really is the best place to eat yummy junk. :thumbsup2

I rarely, if ever, have issues with junk food at Disney. Other foods yes, junk, no. It's some bit of Disney magic, let me tell you. Let's just hope it's like that while I'm pregnant. :thumbsup2

Indeed you can! Typically, this is what you would do if you had someone who needed handicap access, but they are very open to letting the little kiddos skip it as well. :goodvibes

There's always next time! ;)

You know...I'm not sure? But I know the ones from the bakery are supposed to be amazing!

This really was one of my best Disney days ever!

More ghosts, too cute!

Totally! I figured, well, I've had everything else, why not that? :lmao:

The kid likes Haunted Mansion and he loves POTC. What more could I ask for? :lmao:

YAY a true Disney fan! :cheer2:

I think I get most nostaligc on Fantasyland rides because I remember my parents taking me, and now I'm taking my son. Makes me a little weepy.

I agree, the first time we went w/ our children was in 2005 and I have wonderful memories of IASW and got weepy too when we went on it :cloud9:

Let me tell you, there's no finer family bonding than gnawing your way through a genetically engineered looking turkey leg in the middle of Tomorrowland. Truly, another priceless moment.

HA :rotfl2: love it...that is the same thing mt DS keeps asking for anytime WDW comes up

looking forward to more

Eeeek! A closed Bakery?! I wouldn't know what to do with myself! You had a good attitude about it....I probably would have stamped my feet. ;) I suppose though, in keeping with the Silver Living / Glad Game, the Bakery being closed this trip, just makes it all the more special for the next trip, right? :goodvibes

Glad your DS enjoyed the HM! I still haven't worked up enough nerve myself to ride it. :lmao: I'm an EASY scare. The ToT scares the pants off me, but I love the thrill part of it, so it's worth going through the creepy stuff.

Loved your comments, thanks! :goodvibes

I was a silver lining kind of gal this day. :thumbsup2

Um, hon?

So. Not. Scary.

Honestly, if I can ride it, you can ride it, trust me. But, then again, nothing really scares me on ToT but the drop. :lmao:

I truly planned on riding it in September. But it never happened. And this last trip was just way too busy. So next trip. Next trip. I promised Jen a while back too....:rolleyes1 He he.

If I scream, I'm just it will just add entertainment to those around me!

Hi TarzansKat :flower3: I like the format of your TR. Not overwhelming with details, but just enough to satisfy your readers. I've just started reading at the beginning but so far I can relate. Fear of flying. HELLO! That's me! I've gotten better within the last year but it still scares the heck out of me. Just gotta keep reminding myself that these pilots go through rigorous training and are constantly being re-tested. And there's always the reminder that there's a higher chance of you being in a car accident every day then being in a plane crash. I guess that's reassuring  Love it so far. Can't wait to catch up.

That's right. :lmao:

Hi! I'm glad you're enjoying this.

You know, one of the funniest things about my fear of flying is that my sister is a pilot, professionally. So I know how safe it is! :lmao: Doesn't help sometimes, fear is fear.

Hey you! Welcome back from your Mother Daughter Weekend! How was it?

It was great, thanks! I just did a little real life update on my feeling grand ptr, and that sort of explains what's going on right now. Lots of real life stuff getting in the way of everything else. LOL
