We have ADRs for Norway so my daughter can see the princesses. Any one know how long it usually takes? We will be there for lunch.
Can't wait to taste the food!

we were there the last week of June and we had ressies for 2:50 and was in by 3:00. The food was fantastic and the interaction was great my DD6 loved it. Have Fun!!!!

This is my all time favorte WDW restaurant. Wait time is usually 10-15 minutes. We take our time at this restaurant because the dessert plate is so fantastic and we sometimes order seconds. It's the only time I eat sweets at WDW because I always have to have a good cup of coffee (and it has to be in a cermic mug --- I know, weird) whenever I eat something sweet and I can't do that at CS or stands.

I'd say you can get through the meal in an hour, but we like to linger so I usually plan for a little longer.

Have fun! I can't wait to go back.

Oh, I meant how much time did you spend there? About an hour???

We were there in May for dinner. We had 4:30 ressies (we had just arrived fro our vacation) we were in within 5 minutes, took our pics with Aurora and we seated. (Another 5 minutes) We ordered our drinks and got our apetizers when the rincesses started there rounds. We were in the smaller room to the left that over looks the interior of Norway, this is the side the princesses come out on. Because of this, we finished our entrees, desserts and saw all the princesses. We were in and out in about 45 minutes. If you end up on the other side, it may take another 15-20 minutes to see all of the girls. What I thought was really cool is that a CM came around before we left to confirm that we saw all the characters. I know I probably OD'd the info but there it is! Have a great trip!

Are all the meals there princess meals now?? In Feb. 2005, we had a wonderful meal there without them.

Unfortunately for some they did make every meal at Akershus a character meal since spring of 2005. The restaurant was doing very poorly and they needed a boost. The food is still good and the servers are still Norwegian. The princesses take up a small amount of time at the meal and if you would like to eat at Norway again and have it be princess-free you need only tell a character attendant when you are entering the restaurant and you can eat your lunch or dinner sans royalty. They simply will skip by your table. Gives 'em more time for the kiddies.
I recommend going for lunch and getting the soup and salmon sandwich. Yum!

Thanks for the tips, tink22!! We will have DD (now 17 mo.) with us in January, and if we make an ADR in Norway, I think she would like the princesses (She "reads" the little board books every day :)). I never knew that you could just ask for the characters to not come to your table. Thanks again!
