Norway Kid's Menu?

I posted to the big long thread too, but I don't want the answer to get lost. Does anyone know?

Does this mean that kids can only order off of this menu???

Ham, turkey, Cheddar and Muenster cheese wedges,

I want to know this too. We'll be on the MYW dining plan so I think then that you have to order off of the kids menu, but what a boring kids menu for Norway!!!!!

mermaidwannabe- We are using DDE, not MYW, and my oldest dd (as well as mom & dad) loves their regular menu. My youngest likes the typical picky kid foods and wanted Princesses. UGH! I agree! Not every kid is an unadventurous eater! If this is the case, Akershus has lost another family to the changes.

I hope someone can confirm or deny this...

Are you asking if your adventurous daughter HAS to order off the kids menu? Of course not, you'll just have to mention it to your server as soon as you sit down. However, you'll possibly/probably have to pay the adult price for her as well.

Yes, that's what I'm asking. I guess it really is not a buffet anymore where anyone can choose from all the offerings... it's off my list.

You do not have to pay adult prices for kids eating adult food at all you can eat places.

For example at GG in Epcot (Gosh I miss that place.) The kids can eat what ever is brought, if you want more you can ask for it. However since kids tend to be picky and WDW caters to them you can ALSO get them mac and chesse and other other kid stuff.

Same with CP, there is a kid section, anyone can eat off it, but there you are more then welcome eat what ever is avilable.

I must admit I was bothered when the server only gave my 13 year old neice (I paid adult prices for her) one piece of beef when she asked for two. But if she wanted another she could just go back.

So no, you don't have to pay the adult price for her (Almost sure, we go in less then 2 weeks, I can ask then.) However my DD most likely will want the kid stuff.

I was hoping they would have at least some of the Norway food on the kids' menu, my boys would prefer that over the children's menu. I wish they would understand that not ALL kids are picky!

Thanks for the clarification. I knew that kids didn't have to pay adult prices at buffets, but I didn't know about the family style restaurants.

We don't have kids so I'm not always terribly familiar with that part

It made me wonder because now they have a specific kid's menu listed, unlike, say Chef Mickey's where kid's favs are listed, but it's all on one menu, rather than stating "Kid's Entree Selection", different appetizers, ect. as it does on the new Akershus menu. I don't want to pay adult prices for a child to eat something other than the kid's menu at an all you can eat place. If that's the case, I'll go elsewhere. I'd love it if someone who's actually been there who's kid didn't order off the kid's menu would post...
