My parents did ABD last year and from their description it doesn't sound too Disney. There's a few little kitschy things, but for the most part it's tour, tour, tour.

Weather is nasty here in the Rockies, County, City, and Schools closed, but not the state yet. I get in only to learn there is a delayed start of State Offices. LOL

Good Morning Cruisers!

Yes, weather is really ugly here! We have about 3-4 inches of snow, with prospect of another 6-10 inches before it quits sometime tomorrow. The bright side is that it is supposed to be 60 degrees on Sunday, and 70 by the end of next week.

Lauren (DD) and I did ABD Cities of Knights and Lights - definitely not over the top Disney - other than the service and attention to detail.... If you don't count the Mickey Hand placard leading us - we would have just been another tour group - albeit better organized with more access than most....

I think we will, my only thoughts are that it will be too Disney and we will not be able to interact as much as I usually do with the local folks. (Had some other thoughts I edited/deleted. ) We will see. I would rather wake up dry beneath the African Sky just me and my Swiss Army knife.

We did the Thompson Tanzania Safari twice and really liked it, Bummed DVC is no longer offering it. I really would like to see more "true" adventures offered by DVC, like an antartica cruise. Live abaord dive boat trips, etc etc etc

I absolutely love "Last Mango in Paris" - My 14 yr old DD even likes it - we've talked about the "deep" meanings in the song - many times....

I hear 4 SEC schools have filed formal complaints against Alabama. Auburn sat on the sidelines and watched!

Tornadoes came through murfreesboro today. I was in a restaurant and the tornado passed three blocks from where we sat. VERY scary. We are fine and the house is fine. But two are dead and 100's of homes either destroyed or damaged. Please pray for the families.

Hi Tammy...I'm glad you and your family escaped the destruction. A friend's daughter watched it coming straight for Red Robin but it jumped over them and hit the block behind them. I'm tired of our cold, rainy weather and today isn't looking much better. Carolyn

Boosters paying the players is the main thing. The schools are Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee.

Connie - sorry that we will not be in Orlando for your meet and greet - post some pictures!!!!

Snow has been melting slowly enough that the ground has been able to absorb it! Just a bit is left to melt, expect it all to be gone after today - until the weekend when it predicted to rain or snow some more!
