How far is the concentration camp from Berlin?

About another 1/2 hour from Berlin.

That's not too bad. I've also looked into going to Wittenberg and it's only 40 min. each way by train. Too much to do in Germany for just one day with our German background. I really wish we had overnight there instead of in St. Petersberg.

Dh has decided that he would like to do Berlin. To those of you doing it are you planning on a DCL excursion or doing it on your own? I hate the DCL excursions because I feel like alot of time is wasted, but do I trust doing it myself?

I feel the exact same way. I'm always so scared that if we go out on our own we'll end up missing the ship. At least if we're on a DCL excursion and there's a delay they'll either wait for us or be responsible for getting us to the next port.

There's just so much in Berlin that I want to see I don't know how I'm going to fit it all in.

I am really looking forward to touring St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki, but I think Berlin is too far away for a day trip. I'll bet there are some great areas to visit closer to where the ship docks.

I feel sorry for you.....

After the WDW trip we have a week at Myrtle Beach and then a week in Hawaii but they don't take much planning, thank goodness!
Oh I forgot we planned a week or two in Mexico next spring but we've been so much we don't need to plan anything.

Outside company - NCL didn't offer anything w/ the camp & the costs were (for here and St Petersburg).

Doing tours w/ spb tours in both countries - I'll let you know what I think of them when I get back. I've had a good experience w/ them so far (dealing w/ Viktoria) & have heard good things about them too.
