Now that could have a double meaning as we would be out there for the group stages of the World Cup!

Claire ;)

We hope!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Are you watching the game at the moment? I hadn't thought about the timing of the World Cup - I don't think my DH has twigged either... ;)

Why would visitors to Copenhagen want to see a Chinese reinterpretation of the Little mermaid? Why would China want to see the real thing in their country?

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 Maybe Shanghai and Copenhagen are twinned???

Yes and pretty poor show :( We like to be away, as work can be hectic, but we would be back in time for the final

We timed it well for the 2006 World cup being on the West Coast, as shown by my trippies!!

Tell me about it Karen - after all I've gone through to get hubby to agree this cruise it could really throw a spanner in the works......

Yes that dawned on me too Claire - but I am not telling hubby as he won't go if he realises before I book it on Tuesday!!! ;)

Much as I love footie, I think I'll be keeping this under my England bobble hat. Don't want my DH to have the stress of knowing what he's missing... ;) Plus I'm sure it'll be featured on onboard TV... :happytv:

Yes easily on tv, we even watched a 2006 World Cup game when in the Grand Canyon :rotfl:

That's good to know....but I am not risking it (not after the trouble I got in with hubby last night on the UK thread!) :lmao:

We watched loads of the Olympics this August in our stateroom on the Mexican Riviera cruise - as well some European soccer! Plus they might show games in Diversions or whatever the onboard sports bar is called... And now I'm zipping it in case Lee is lurking!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

LOL - Its ok he is watching the England game at the moment so I'm safe for now. :goodvibes

I am sure there will be plenty of channels to watch and as has been said the sports bar will show them, we saw that the Champions League final at AKL this year was on the tv in the pool bar!! So it will be on ESPN, which I am sure DCL will have as a channel.

Kev just called member services and OUCH not only is this cruise a lot of points (which we expected) but we were just informed that if we book one person with points we have to pay the other person up front? WTH? Normally that wouldn't be a problem but we are going into winter and our job depends on the weather so we stock pile to be safe. We have a lot of thinking to do before plunking cash for one half of this cruise in full. Does anyone else think its screwy that DVC member have to pay in FULL at time of booking when you have until so many days prior to book normally? Anyone?

This is making my head hurt. I just wrap my brain around this policy. We may be doing something different in 2010 unfortunatly. I was really excited about this one too.

At least we are 3-1 up now!

Also notice there is wireless internet at a cost, but how much is the wired at the cafes?

Can't help w/ the DVC ? - but keep your fingers crossed (and we will too) and hopefully everything will work out.

I'm sorry to hear this - I know nothing about DVC so can't really comment but I hope somehow you can find a way.

Make that 5-1

Claire ;)

Woo hoo ! I didn't watch the first half but didn't look like I missed much! :goodvibes

Cyndi, that really sucks. They're (DCL and DVC) are doing alot of things differently this year that's making me question alot of things.

I'm sure it will all work out for you and Kevin though.:thumbsup2

Thanks, I'm bumming about it. If it was springtime and the birds were chirping and the sun was shining I could justify it but its already snowing so we just can't tap into that winter fund. It wouldn't be very responsible. DVC needs to change that policy. Its dumb.

So this is why the Tortola thread is so quiet!! :lmao:

I'm Monica (will be celebrating my 40th :scared1: on this cruise) - hopefully travelling along w/ dear friends Jackie & Connie (having a slumber party to save $)

Met many of the lovely cruisers here on the WB PC cruise in May 2008.

Will be meeting more on the 9/12/09 EB with Tortola.

I'm the Jackie mentioned above and FREAKING OUT abount being able to come up with the $$ at 120 days, but I so want this cruise to work! Fingers crossed and lottery tickets being pick up too!

I borrowed this from someone on the WB PC cruise - don't remember who posted it, but I figured it was a good new life motto :thumbsup2

That was from sister Peg (TiggersPal)!

.....off to meet DIS pal for lunch.....

::wave::
