It's been a while since i have dropped by and written.

I'm working a contract that started out promising and then turned into 10-12 hr days, home every two weeks....and not much time for family or thinking about the cruise

I have been following the threads and it looks like the 'ship of thieves' gang is quite well represented, feels like old home week.

Just a couple of questions before i dash off to work....

Any idea on when the excursions might be coming out?

Where are the majority of the people staying the night before the cruise, at one of the three 'expensve' didney hotels or in Dover?

Hope all our American friends have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

Please excuse me, I am so new at this. My husband and I along with a friend are booked on the June 12th Baltic cruise. My husband and I have been on a few other Magic cruises but this will be a first for our friend. We are so excited about this cruise. What should I do first?:confused3

:welcome: aboard!!!

Saw a preview for Angels & Demons... Looks really good! Will have to read the book again, and this time finish it!

I really fancy this - I actually preferred this book to the Da Vinci Code... ;)

Thought this was cute......A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity.

John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder.

John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer.

For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then
suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute.
Fearing that he'd hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer.

The parrot calmly stepped out into John's outstretched arms and said, "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."

John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to
ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the
bird continued,

"May I ask what the turkey did?"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Sorry you've had to work so much. The DCL excursions will probably come out in Dec or Jan before the cruise. We are staying in London for 3 nights and then Dover for 2 before the cruise. We are trying to get a timeshare but if not we will probably be staying at the Park Place County Hall hotel. Right now it's running about $250 a night. If you have some ideas let me know since I would love to find something less expensive in a good location but nice.

Hope everyone had a good Turkey day :)

Mine went a bit kerflooie. I have a friend who is in the process of moving to his newly purchased house (fortunatel,y only 4 doors away, but it may as well be on the other end of town!). Called him this morning to wish him a Happy Thanksgiving to find out that he was up ALLLLL night sick. So much so that he was even thinking of going to the ER. In the mean time he was having a friend come over and they were going to move stuff this morning. So I end up heading across town, supervise the friend and pack up stuff while he slept.

Well, he came out, I took one look at him and told him we were heading for the ER. Soooooo, I spent about 4 1/2 hours sitting with him in the ER while they pumped fluids and anti-nausea meds into him.

Fortunately, mom had a small turkey in the house so she was able to make dinner for her and dad. I ate when I came home. Tomorrow will be an interesting day, I know that he will not be up to moving, but he has to be out by Saturday! I may send him to a friends house to rest, and I will get some guys to move the big stuff.

Never a dull moment!!!

He's lucky to have such a good friend as you! Looks like you're going to have a busy week-end.

We went to see HSM3 and then to dinner(without the SIL). Nice quiet day. Tomorrow we leave for our last lost of the season. It's going to be a bad one! To add to that it's suppose to be raining and cold and since it's not at our stadium we will be sitting in the rain! Fun, fun and more fun.
