Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Plane won, price was a little better and location for rental car was what tipped the scale, price would haev been better if we wanted to fly later in the day or real early, I did not want to be at Heathrow by 0430.

lol I would have said the train every single time, I'd rather spend the extra money and avoid the time and hassle of security! But then I'm not keen on flying as a general rule anyway.

We had a great time on the Eurostar going from Florence to Venice on ABD. America could really use a system like that.

You're right Lynn.

Disney could help us out by releasing the shore excursions so we can really get this cruise into planning mode.

I still need to iron out our precruise plans. Maybe I'll be able to focus on that after we get back from WDW in a few weeks. Way too focused on that right now. I can also focus on it after I finish this school term since classes won't start back until Jan. 11. Plenty of time to work everything out.

I agree. I would really like to start planning our shore excursions also before the holidays so I don't have to worry about it until it is time to sign up!

Hi everyone,

Just popped in to remind everyone to check out the cruise calendar I have set up and let me know if there are any celebrations you want added to/removed from it. As well as showing what people are celebrating when the calendar also shows sunrise/sunset times for each port day and times we arrive at and depart from each port.

You can find the calendar here.

As we get closer to sailing date I'll add in any DISMeets that we organise. :goodvibes

David that is great, thank you very much,

AVerage temps that woudl be Kewl!!!.

I am setting up a tour with Anatasia Tours for two days for St. Petersburg. If I can get 4 people to add to my two, we can probably do around 250-275 per per person for the 2 day tour, or I guess 1 and 1/2 day tour. We may curtail St. Catherines as there are two many steps there for me and my scooter, but they have lifts in the Hermitage and ramps and only a few steps in other places. But I may be able to do St. Catherines if I can ride for the rest of the tour. Depends on my condition at the time. This will be an easy pace tour customized. So if anyone is interested in a more accessible tour with your truly and my talkative daughter who will be 12, let me know and we will see what we can arrange. Thanks!

My sister sent me some info since she knew I was going to London after the cruise and she knows what a huge Phantom of the Opera fan I am.

Here's what she sent me:

A sequel to The Phantom of the Operawritten by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Opens in London next year. ( the stage play - not the movie)

The plot takes place on Coney Island in 1906, approximately a decade after the events of The Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom has travelled to Coney Island with Madame Giry and her daughter Meg. Beginning his new life in America as a freakshow attraction, he has worked his way up to a position of power and is now the successful architect of a number of Coney Island attractions. Despite his newfound wealth and success he still longs for Christine and manages to arrange for her to come and sing at one of his latest attractions. Christine arrives at Coney Island along with Raoul and their son Gustave, unknowingly returning to the man she feared most.[8]
