Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Emily - Are you still free in January? We're starting to look at dates and are thinking that we would come over on a Saturday and leave on Sunday(hitting the Space center one day). Let me know if you have a Saturday or Sunday that isn't good for you.

As far as I know we don't have anything planned at all in January right now. Just let me know what weekend you decide on and we should be able to work something out.

Hey all ... Excursions should be up soon. Just noticed the Transatlantic ones are up! Time to start getting excited!

I've been checking just about every other day since they put those up. Still waiting...

I was doing some reading for the various ports yesterday and I came across a recommendation on the Cruise Critic forums for Friends of Dave Tours in Warnemunde. Neither Dad or I particularly fancied the long journey to Berlin and back so I have e-mailed Dave and booked us on the Complete Hansa tour, details of which you can find here.

Chuck and I might be interested in going on a tour with you. We are not planning to go to Berlin. Connie

You're more than welcome to join us Connie. Just let me know if and when you would like me to put your names down. :goodvibes

A few days ago I discovered the delights of the Cruise Magnets and graphics links thread and inspired by what I saw there I have created a couple of things that I thought I would share here in case others can make use of them.

Credit for the background on this one goes to fellow DISer tjbaggott, flags are from www.worldatlas.com

Graphics on this one are again from tjbaggott's photobucket account.

Enjoy. :goodvibes

The magnets photos are lovely. Are you offering them up for others to print? If so, then how does one go about getting these on magnets? Is it a simple matter of copying to a jpg and printing on magnet paper?

Yes I'm happy for anybody to print them out and use them wherever you want. And you're exactly right just save the image to your PC and print it out onto magnetic paper or, and I picked this advice up from that thread, print them out onto card, laminate it and stick adhesive magnets onto the back.

That's a good idea as well. It's probably a lot cheaper than the magnetic paper.

Or....if you are into crafts and have a Xyron machine, you can purchase the magnetic cartridge and just run your cardstock through the machine and it is instantly a magnet!

I like that idea ... But I don't think it will work for my little X shaped Xyron? What size machine are you talking about, and I might have to look into this magnetic cartridge!

Since I scrapbook and make calendars and all that stuff, I use my big one all the time. I have the X shaped Xyron too. If you go to a site like Joann's Fabrics and type in Xyron it will bring up the bigger machine. I used a 40% off coupon (plus an extra 10% off) when I bought mine. So, I think I paid around $50.00 for it. The cartridges are about $30-$35 each, but they last a long time and they are really convenient when making stickers or laminating
paper or using the magnetic paper. I use a 40% off coupon on the cartridges too, so they cost about $20.

Oh, you might look on Ebay too, somebody might want to get rid of one and you could get it really inexpensive.....just a thought....

Hope that helps.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends! Hope the holidays are bright!

Thanks Linda ...I'll have to look into that. Unfortunately, we do not have Joann's up here. But we do have Michaels. Have to keep my eyes for those coupons :)
