Hi everyone,
I have not posted on the board for awhile, since this cruise has been up in the air for us. I probably will not be going on this cruise anymore because I found a good deal on one leaving in 2 weeks with the same ports (sad that its 10 days instead of 12 since it is leaving out of Copenhagen instead of London) on Princess. I am happy that it will hit Tallinn and Helsinki though.

I was looking forward to cruising with alot of TA friends again, but maybe we will match up on a different cruise!

Monica, I have been really following your blog since it will give me a good idea of what to expect and comparing cruiselines since I have not been on anything but Disney! Can't wait to hear and see more.

hi Michelle - can't believe you go in 2 weeks! WOW!!

Have you booked anything for St Petersburg yet? If not - I recommend SPB tours - I can send you Viktoria's email address if you'd like me to. YOu can probably get a hold of her through their website too.

You'll be able to see the fountains in full swing at Peterhof & probably get to ride the hydrofoil too...neither of those started until the 9th of May so I missed both (saw the fountains but no water flowing).

I was thinking I should check in and when I pulled this up and saw the heading I was glad I did. I'm going to try to stay on top of this thread!

So sorry to hear that we are losing more people. Disney should do something about the pricing, hopefully they will. Chris will not go to Eurpoe without Disney so we are willing to stay right where we are.

Whats this I am reading about lanyards? Is it too late to get in on this? Could someone please give me the info on this? Thanks!

Chris didnt want to wait until next year to go on a vacation so he researched and decided that we are going on a NCL Alaskan cruise , in 3 weeks!
Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with NCL Pearl or just NCL in general? All opinions are welcomed both positive and negative. Thanks!

I have no idea how to organize the FE Exchange but am willing to help and definitely want to play. Been thinking about what I want to bring this time!

lllpath did a few lanyards so pm her and see if she has any left. They are the 3/4 inch ones. A pix is on the old thread. Someone is suppose to be doing lanyards closer to the cruise that anyone can get.

Alaska sounds great! Wish DCL would go there!!!

If you have a FE then you will get gifts. Usually you put your gifts in others FE whenever you want to.

I dont know whether to make something or do magnets again for the FE.
We will be leaving for the Alaskan on the one year to sailing date for the Baltics!

Well gang I'm back in the states and back at work. I'm a little exhausted after 20 something hours of travel yesterday and nothing went smoothly. Got to JFK early, but our gate wasn't ready so we sat on the runway until it was. Had to get through customs, get our bags and recheck them, go through security again. By the time we did all of this we got to the gate just as they were boarding for Cincinatti. Got on the plane and had to wait for late baggage (probably ours, lol), that put us 40 min. late leaving JFK for Cincinatti, luckily they actually got us there on time and we managed to get dinner before flying home to Huntsville.

Then we get home and our boxer gives us a welcome home heart attack. He was so excited to see us that he had a seizure. Luckily our vet lives next door to us and came over and checked on him. Apparently boxers are prone to a particular type of seizure and they can be triggered by over excitement. He's fine, but definitely not the shock you need when you first get home.

Scott, just so you know the majority (about 95% of the time) it was not overly Disney, but there were a couple of occasions where it did get a little too Disney even for me. I don't know what it will be like in Peru though, but they had some characters (not Disney) but Italian characters along the way toward the end.

He's fine now. He just got too excited that's all. He's back to his normal, slobbery self.

I'll have to read your TR when I get caught up on everything. I haven't had a chance to start it yet, but I can't wait. I was so sorry to hear you were sick on the cruise, not a way to spend your vacation.
