Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

OMG! That has to be one of the best engagements I have seen in a while!!!

That was funny! Congrats to Kristin and Nick!

That was great.
You actually got me to turn off the Texas Tech - Texas game to watch the video.

My daughter was engaged on the Magic Mexican Riviera cruise last year. They decided on getting married on the Wonder in 2010.... Not sure how I'm paying for both cruises....

Here's their engagement video - it was pretty cool... Kristin's engagement

That was a really cool engagement. Congrats to your daughter and future son in law.

I am saying goodbye to this thread, we decided to move our Baltic deposit to the Alaskan first sailing. The cost just did us in. So :sad2: until the Alaskan thread comes up:goodvibes. Glad to see I will meet some of you again on that one.

Did you happen to be in a Cat 3?

Gydell - I forgot to post this earlier, but,

I hope you managed to stay dry.....

What did you say??? It was a nail biting game for sure! We didn't get home until after 3am and I am tired but well worth it.:cheer2:

Loved the video!

Hello everybody!! My best friend and I have decided to book the Brilliance of the Seas for May 2010. So I am moving the mini repo and the med to 2011 when the booking opens for gold members tomorrow. ;)

I will still be on the Disney Baltic on June 12th, but not the med or the mini repo I had planned. The Brilliance is going to Athens in addition to Civitavecchia, Florence and Naples. We were able to get two rooms, one balcony, and one inside, for 12 nights on the Brilliance for about what I was paying with the kids free for a Cat 9 for all four in the same room on the Magic. Then we are going to fly to London and I will catch the Disney Magic in Dover for the Baltic. So I guess the B2B2B is not 2B. (My attempt at abbreviation humor)

As much as I hate to think about disembarking from this cruise, I'm researching how we are going to get from the port of Dover to Disneyland Paris.

We are interested in taking the Chunnel, mainly because it would be taking the Chunnel. I'm pretty sure that if we get to Folkestone station, then it's reasonable simple to get from there to the Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy, the Disneyland Paris station. But I'm not really clear about getting from Dover to Folkestone. I'm getting the impression that this segment can be done by rail, but that rail may not be the best option.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to get from Dover to DLP?

Thanks.

Chris

I have exactly the same question!!

Your plan to take the train to Paris thru the Chunnel is a good one. I am sure you can go online to book a car and driver to take you from Dover to Folkstone....that would be the simplest, because of luggage etc.

Have a great time! We have gone to France through the Chunnel several times, as well as on the Hovercraft. It;s fun either way! Faster by train, though.

Hi everyone!!! It's a hot day here at Castaway Cay. Had a cabana massage this morning, ate lunch and then came back to the ship to cool off.

Looks like we'll be joining you most of you on the May 3 Alaska sailing. We booked a dummy date to transfer Monday morning. Going to be trying for another Cat. 2 on that sailing. The Cat. 2 on this cruise has been incredible. If I don't get it, we'll book a different date and probably waitlist for May 3. Hopefully our good luck will continue to follow us home, we won at every session of bingo except for the last one and dad won the onboard credit for rebooking a cruise, so we've had some incredible luck this week.

Talk to everyone later this weekend. We'll be flying back home tomorrow afternoon.

Congratulations on your bingo! Hooray! My husband and I would love to do concierge level on the Alaska cruise, but since we don't know the prices yet, we just booked a cat 5. I think we'll be happy with any stateroom, so long as we have a verandah. It's hard to justify concierge for just the 2 of us.........but I could work on it! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Okay everybody, get this, my son who will be 18 for the B2B2B I have planned for next summer, is thinking about not going because he will miss a three day concert called Bonnaro. (aka Hillbilly Wookstock!) So he may not go to Europe because of Bonnaro. What?:lmao:

That sounds about right for a kid! Connie

No,I don't agree with that. I am sure it was debated both ways, and this was how they chose to do it. It's too complicated to try to compute # of nights cruised. After all, those who have travelled to Disney to cruise have put a lot of effort into their travels, and usually have spent time at WDW either before or after.

I think it's very nice that they make a consideration for # of cruises. Connie
I disagree that it's complicated for Disney to track the number of days, but it's totally OK that we don't agree.

I finally got through this morning after 2 hours on hold and was able to book a Cat. 2 on the May 10 sailing and waitlist for a Cat. 1 or 2 on the May 3.
