Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

OMG! This is getting so exciting:yay: I packed today and decided to go ahead and pay for an extra piece of luggage;) Although I could have done it with just 2 bags it was going to be tight and really limited what I could bring home. Then I unpacked everything:laughing: Husband thinks I'm nuts (yeah, okay, so I am:laughing:) But I gotta iron the clothes first before I pack them and put wrinkles in them:laughing: At least next weekend it will all go back into the bags in a flash:rolleyes1 At least that's what I'm telling him. BA said our flight is for sure going to go to London but not sure if our flight to Paris will happen due to the strike:eek: We figure if we can't get to Paris we'll just hang out in Dover. Now if I can just get through the 3 days at work without driving everyone there nuts:lmao:

Anyone leaving this week?

Marianne:flower3:
Great news on your packing! We leave on the 8th and I am about 30% packed just got done ironing all of DH shirts so he can now pack!
Save trip to you. I know what you mean about getting through work I have this week and the following Monday with lots to do at work. Sue

:yay:

We have just found the message boards! Wow!! What an opportunity to meet people and gain information before the trip!!! I hope I am doing this right. We would LOVE to join the tour to the glassworks in Oslo if you still have room. There are two of us.
Welcome!!!

For Hadeland:

These are the numbers I have right now

3PrincessMommy - 2 adults & 3 children
MickeyWatch - 2 adults & 1 child (please confirm)
Has - 4 adults (possibly 3 more - please confirm)
BriarRose43 - 2 adults

I'll call Oslo tomorrow and see what arrangements can be made. In the meantime, I received a very nice brochure from Hadeland, with a map of the complex and list of activities. It's a PDF file, so I can't post here, but I can e-mail it. So please PM me your e-mail if you're interested in receiving it. It sounds very nice for both kids and adults.

Hi Debbie,

We finally received our new cabin number for the Baltic leg of the trip. We'll be in 6045.

Unfortunatly this means we have to change to an inside cabin for the repo and Baltic but with the savings it won't be too bad (and we keep telling ourselves it will be too cool for the veranda).

Thanks, Bob & Dale

Hey neighbor! We are in 6067, so won't be that far away!

Went to Coldwater Creek yesterday to return a couple of items I bought on line through the outlet.....

The WHOLE STORE is on sale for 50% off. Only 6 more days I think.

Needless to say, they gave me back a lot less money than what I ended up spending. Good news, I bought some new clothes for the cruise. Figured my Florida cruising clothes were just for warmer weather and I needed some layered stuff.

Now have my clothes hanging in upstairs closet with other stuff, getting ready to go into the suitcase.

We leave Saturday a.m. and will meet the ship in Gibraltar on June 7th.

Kids just left for school...FEs here I come!!!!!:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 Going to try and get as much in the suitcases as possible today and then stick the suitcases back out in the garage so no one suspects anything.:rolleyes1

Caitie's starting to get suspicious...Don't know if I'll be able to keep it a secret till next Thursday.

This sounds like such fun! I know I would be bursting with wanting to tell:rolleyes1 Surprises are soooooo much fun:yay:

Locks just went on the suitcases!!! Not to be opened until we arrive in London. 1 more thing off my list!

Congratulations! I'm envious:worship:

Debbie, please add us to the roster (myself and DH). This is our first Disney cruise and it looks like we are a bit behind in getting ready. :confused3 So excited! Need to get organized. Thanks. "Rosie"

How exciting! Welcome!:flower3:

Party in 8530! :rotfl::rotfl:

Hey that's a suite :woohoo: We are just down the hall, we'll be there:laughing:

I'm still confused about what clothing to take:headache: Short sleeves? Long sleeves? Short sleeves I can wear over long sleeves? Sweatshirts? Jackets? Oh heck, I'm taking it all:lmao:

Is Gibraltar the beginning of a cruise  Just curious.

A week from right now we will be arriving at the San Francisco airport:yay: I can't believe I agreed to work that morning:scared1:

Grandma Miki, Patrick and I went up to the Comprehensive Care Center today (camp) to Patrick. We left Chuck's computer up there to use for the Skype. We talked to Pat's brother Mike in Palo Alto and to his dad here at home. I think Patrick's going to be just fine this time. He met more friends who are patients there, and they are so friendly.

Has anyone here pre-purchased tickets for the London Eye? If you have, which ticket did you get? I was looking at options for our group, but I have no idea which ticket would be best.

Does anyone know why sometimes my countdown shows up and sometimes is doesn't? I just can't figure it out :headache: When I go look at my signature it's there but not here when I post  Yeah, I know, that's a minor thing to worry about at this point but I'm tired worrying about the major stuff:lmao:

Rosie,
Welcome aboard from Bill, Laura and Katie (DD16).
You got here before the ship left port so it sounds like you are right on time.
Bill

Thanks all for the welcome. Off on a 4 day business trip tomorrow before I can even start packing for the cruise. Very envious of those who are already packed. Wouldn't someone like to help me get organized? Can't believe it's only 12 days away. Still trying to sort out tours.
We may spend at least one day hibernating, jet lag gets to those of us over 50 types.;)

We leave next Monday :scared1: I need to get all of my last minute things done and bought while the kids are in school this week. I still need to figure out what to bring for my hard to dress DH...she is the most pickest 9 year old I have ever met. I will get it done but will not be all packed until Sunday with last minute stuffing on Monday. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Happy packing and safe travels.

I had been looking all over for the Secret Mickey gift I wanted to give. I found it and.....

Hey neighbor! We are in 6067, so won't be that far away!

OK,

I was confused when I posted (happens sometimes:confused3).

We're on 6060 for the repo and are changing to 6045 for the Baltic.

We're still neighbors, how about a "block" party?
