Northern Europe

We did an 11 night Baltic cruise this summer on Regal Princess. After doing the Med on DCL in 2016, I would've loved to go back to Disney; but the price for the baltic was more than double what we paid for Princess for an outside view stateroom vs the mini-suite we booked with Princess.

The food at the buffet and counter service locations on the Regal Princess were great! We didn't even venture into the main dining rooms. The ship was very well appointed and I very much enjoyed the pool deck and the Movies Under the Stars. We liked our stateroom but found the beds to be quite small. As for the rest of the entertainment offerings, I was less than impressed but felt they were appealing to their specific demographic. If the price was right and I was looking for a port intense itinerary, I wouldn't hesitate to sail with Princess again, but I did miss the Disney entertainment offerings and the overall sense of joy that I feel when sailing with DCL. For a ship focused cruise, I'll be booking Disney!

Then also check out Aida. Not as “exclusive” but more family orientated due to pricing. Tip stay out of german school breaks and you are golden fare wise. July-1st week sept. Germans cannot pull kids from school so holidays is prime season
Unfortunately I teach & most Canadian teachers can’t pull their kids either, but we are used to school break crowds. Thx, I’ll check them out too!

I agree. We will be cruising for the ports, otherwise we would probably stick with DCL. Did you travel with kids/tweens on Princess?

No, we were 2 adults. Saw a few kids on board but not nearly as many families with kids that we saw in the ports we shared with the Magic.
