Looks like I'm wrong. I just looked it up. She's changed her mind quite a few times, so every time I get on there, I see something different, LOL! It says "Yukon Suspension Bridge, City and White Pass Railway", 7:30am to 11:30am. Wow......that's WAY TOO EARLY to be doing anything! LOL!

Holly there is basically a hole pirate store in DL, so I'm sure you'll find something (hopefully that doesn't break the bank!).

I knew there would be, since there's tons of pirate stuff at WDW too. Like I said, no worries!

I joined you guys too late for the FE list so I am thinking about making my own and surprising my mom with it. So...for someone who doesn't know how to sew a button...please let me know the absolute easiest way to make one of these...

Finally, is anyone else totally distracted by these boards as the trip gets closer? I am so excited. I am having so much trouble focusing on work!

PM me with your stateroom # (fast, because we leave early SAT AM) ... or consider posting your stateroom number on this thread (if you are okay with that). DISers have been know to make a random deposit if they see an FE hanging on a door.

As for not having an FE? Grab a disposable plastic bag ... like what you get from a convenience or grocery store. Grab a SHARPIE .. then WRITE *FE* on it ... then hang it from the FISH. No, really! These things started out as NOTHING ... then developed into a full scale production! At one time, a friend of ours (from the Netherlands) merely hung a WOODEN CLOG from their door. IT WORKED! People knew what it meant!

As a side note ... there are meetings for FE & Lanyard distributions on both cruises. Embarkation Day ... Deck 10, Starboard (passenger side), over top of GOOFY, between 2:30 and 3:30PM. HillaryOne will be handling FE's for the REPO, and HeBeJeBe will be handling FE's for Alaska. I know they are trying to make a list of last minute stateroom changes. PERHAPS, they might be able to put your name on a WHITEBOARD as a last minute addition. Understand that many people bring "x" number of FE's for distribution ... some MAY (or may not) have extras. Personally, we know we will have SOME extras. No guarantees, you understand ... but if it can be done ... it WILL be done!

As for these threads becoming habit forming ... addicting ... YES!

The only problem is ... once the cruise is over ... you have nothing to do ... except ... GO ON ANOTHER CRUISE! Many of us have a few cruises *pending* at any one time. Really, we just consider it the proper way to *plan in advance*!

Never thought of the reality. Mom cruises year round so I guess I'll just have to see when the next one I can tag along on will be! This board rocks. Especially since she just left on a cruise today and isn't around to talk to about how excited I am. (I figure it's rude to go on too much to dh who will be home juggling three busy children while I am gone without him...again! ABD soft opening trip to Germany 2 years ago). Y'all all totally get it!

Enjoy your retirement, no matter how short! I have 6 more work days and then my short term retirement kicks in!!!!

Time to go read the travel guides I downloaded onto my iPad.

Hi all! So we just found out today that we will be closing on a house that we have been trying to buy for 4 months tomorrow! We are living in boxes and have to be out of our apt by the 30th! So now I have to move and unpack to repack! I an soooooo going to be in need of this Vacation!

Would LOVE to talke to you about ABD / Germany. I was there in 1978 on a school trip. We have German heritage ... and my son (now 23) would love to go there. We looked in DVC ... saw a facility in Austria ... thought it would be nice to stay in a Castle. I would love to surprise DW and DS with an ABD trip to Germany!

Steven - I wouldn't say the FE's started as Nothing - they started when Debbie (EpcotKilterFan) gave all the DISers traveling on the first Panama Canal crossing the original Fish Extenders! I still use that original one! Granted, some folks started with a plastic bag (or Disney Bag) as their first FE's. I bet Debbie had no idea what she was starting with those first FE's she gave everyone!

Here's my 10th post.

I'd love to tell you all about the Germany trip! It was amazing! My mom, sister, and I did it as a girls trip and had an awesome time. Even for a soft opening, it could not have gone smoother! ABD is the only way to "tour"!
