Saw all parts of NJ of lots of threads...who is from North Jersey??
When is your next trip to WDW?
We were planning to go during the NJ teacher convention in Nov and made res. 11 mos. out but recently checked airfare and it was over $500/pp roundtrip non-stop. Now we switched to Oct when the kids have staff development days. Air is now only $215/pp which is still high. We have never paid over $175. See that Delta is annonoucing "Song " this week, so maybe there will be a break. Still better than $500 plus per ticket. The only bummer is that we were able to get standard view for Nov but only preferred for OCT. in BWV.
Anyway who is from north Jersey?????

I am- from Bergen County.:D

We are going in September, flying out of JFK for the first time. We've only ever flown out of Newark. We were actually going to drive, but found $160 total RT fare on JetBlue and grabbed it.

JVL: Sept is the best time to go. We went 9/25 but just after 9/11 and debated every day whether to go or not. We did go and it was scary to get to Newark and see armed guards. From 78 the sky-line was changed drastically. We sat in the airport for 2 dreaded hours. It was pretty quiet, although at the time Disney was promoting to FL residents since attendence was so low which made it more cowded than normal. Happy we went cause I think I would be more hestitant to fly. My kids will be in 2nd and K so now we are only able to vacation during breaks. Don't mind taking them out for a a couple days here and there so when there is some sort of break we have to take advantage.
Jet Blu has great fairs but will only resort to flying out of NY if the price does not go down.
Have a great time!!

We're from Hudson County. DH grew up here, I'm a NYC transplant. We own at OKW & HH. We always go to WDW in March & almost always fly Delta out of EWR. We always go to HH in Aug. & we have always driven, although we were debating flying this summer.

I was just about to ask the same question and you beat me to it! I am in Morris County...North West Jersey. Heading to *The World* next March. I booked on Song out of EWR. Didn't think the fares would go below $215.00r/t and if they do....I'll take a voucher or two. Oh, Happy joy joy........Spring has really sprung in Jersey!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

and work in Bergen County. We're OKW members since 1999. Going to BCV in October!! I'm also a NY transplant - I grew up in Yonkers.

I am from Morris County also (Parsippany). I know Song is the new Delta but I was told you only get the lower rate if you rebook and pay the change fee - did you get other info or am I msenderstanding the voucher reference.

Thanks
Sandy

we're NYC transplants as well... living in denial ever since we moved across the river (esp 'cause we work + play in NYC... no car, so the only place we can get to is the city! we just happen to technically live across the river in Hudson County ;) )

don't know when our next trip will be, but i'm trying to get my parents to agree to a big family trip this Xmas. my dbf (who claims he doesn't like Disney anymore) admitted he's a bit jealous 'cause he won't get to go this year (not like he'd ever want to go w/ my family anyway... haha)

Don't know when I'll be going next. I'm not supposed to go in 2003...and let me tell you I don't know that I'll make it!

I paid around $300 about a year ago because I waited inside of 30 days to book. You MIGHT beat $215 if you wait until 60 Days out and keep checking. I usually go down south in the fall and book my flight(s) in August....in this case you'd need to start looking July 31st. Or ...you could try flying that new airline out of Allentown. I think you probably should ask yourself if saving $40 pp is worth gambling that airfares won't go up. www.flyseal.com No I haven't used them yet. It appears southeastairlines flys into Sanford so there becomes a question of getting to your hotel.

Morris County (Parsippany). We are new and looking forward to our first trip in May and first family trip in August. We never go away on the teacher's convention. Air rates are too high.

We're in Bayonne and our next trip is 10/30 - 11/4. We're trying the Beach Club Villas this time out, but our home resort is OKW and we love it.

DH wants to be close to Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival :p

Parsippany has the majority here! I work in Parsippany and live in Oak Ridge.
Sandy, I neglected to ask about the voucher rules, oh well. I'm just happy the prices are in line with what I paid last year at about the same time in advance and to have a direct flight. I'm not a big fan of taking off and landing, so what ever the price, I'm happy to be on this flight at the time of morning I want. Gotta get every second in at THE WORLD!

I currently live in Clifton NJ (Passaic County) and our next trip is scheduled for Mid October at BWV.

DW, DS and myself are from Union County. BWV members since 99. We go at all times. Next trip to OKW in 10 days, can't wait. Next trip to BWV in Sept 03. I work in parsippany and wife works in newark.

Essex county here, but I teach in Passaic county. Next year's schedule is supposed to be approved any day, so I am waiting to see if we get a week in Feb, a week before Easter or Easter week, then I will be on the phone to MS ASAP. One of the three proposed schedules even has 5 days for Memorial Day, and we enjoyed that time last year. This year we just get the Monday, but if we do get the 5 days, I may just have to go again.

Hello from Bergen County.
I'm a BWV owner and going this July 3 for ten days (this is my 5th July visit in a row).
I usually go in July because the wife is a teacher (plus the kids usually finish end of June) and I have always scored a standard room to save the points. It has worked out real well. I'm a big fan of the BWV rooms and the location of the BW.

BTW, I have always flown Delta and usually book a good 9 or 10 months out. My airfares have always been around $200 form Newark. This July, they switched my 9:30am flight to 7:10 am.
The upside is I'll be at MCO by 9:30 and it's like an extra day. I just have to get all of us out of the house by 5:45am.

Born and Bred in NJ, deep in the heart of Jersey City. Hope to be taking a trip soon, but not sure when. I also teach in North Bergen and usually fly Delta

Didn't see anyone else in our area so I had to chime in. Born and raised on Long Beach Island and I now live in Manahawkin with my Wife and our 8 month old son. We are book at VWL from June 27th thru July 5 and we also are booked at BCV the first week in Dec. Hope to see you there.

SJUGUY: We spend our summers in LBI. Have a house in Brant Beach, looking forward to a great summer down there. Was down last week and was so happy to see how clean the ocean and bay looked. The cleanest in years!
