That would be me as well because I realize that it really doesn't matter and none of the germaphobic rituals are going to make a difference. Unless you live in a bubble and never go anywhere you are going to come into contact with everything poeple are trying to avoid by disinfecting their rooms, so why bother??? If you are really that afraid your should not be in a public place like WDW, because you are on the order of 10X more likely to be sickened by airborne grems than by contact, and you cannot ask the guy next to you not to breathe. You hear so much about handwashing b/ it really is the only thing anyone can do to attempt to keep from geting the flu, but in reality the transmission rate is at least 90% airborne.
I'm with y'all. I travel roughly 30 weeks a year. I do normal handwashing before meals, after going to the bathroom, etc. That's it. No wiping down of stuff. Rare use of the hand sanitizers.
I almost LIVE in hotels, including WDW resorts from time to time. I am almost never sick. I even sometimes keep the comforters on the hotel beds.
and as a side note, it sort of cracks me up about the comforters....I get it that they aren't changed all the time, so there is that. But the people who say "you don't know what people have done on them!!" Right, you don't, but seriously, if I am going to have sex in a hotel, I'll do it between the sheets, not on top of the comforter.

Just put a small bottle of hand sanatizer in your park bag, and use it after you get your food but before you pick up your fork.
