My family is going to WDW in less than a month and I think one of my favorite attractions is closed...

"Food Rocks" in the Land Pavillion of Epcot...is it really closed? Forever?

Nnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

:guilty: :sad2: :sad1:

Yup - Soarin has taken its location within the Land Pavillion. However, if you haven't ridden Soarin I would not yet be too disappointed about Food Rocks being gone. Soarin is spectacular!!

I feel your pain....but yes it is true...Food Rocks is gone. It was replaced by Soarin' which I must say is great (we rode it last year in Disneyland, but I know it is the same ride at DW).

My son (who was 4 at the time) was devasted..he loved this show. He even on that trip back in 04' (when it first closed to begin construction) tried to talk to Mickey at Chef Mickey's how sad he was that the ride was closed...Mickey gave him a big hug and it helped......so we just watch the video it from past vacations when we taped it....so it will live forever on VHS in my house.

Enjoy your trip!!!

Thank you all for your support in these hard times...

...Hahahaha. I'm sure SOARIN' will be a great ride, I was jsut looking forward to hearing the Peach Boys and Fud Wrapper and seeing Cher as a fish!

"We're talkin' bout good nutrition...It's not just a superstition..."

May it live on forever in our hearts! ;)

Veggie, Veggie, Fruit, Fruit..

The soundtrack is on the Happiest Celebration on Earth CD. Brings a smile to my face every time.

Wasn't this from the attraction prior to Food Rocks?? (I should remember the name but can't think of it right now . . . . . )

I too loved Food Rocks! Sadly, it is gone, but not forgotten....luckily, I was able to see it on January 2, 2004, right before it closed. However, at the time, I did not know that it was closing.

I've only been on Soarin' in California, but I would say it's much better than Food Rocks - you'll be OK with it. :)
