"But if I chose to go to DLR during an offseason month I would be philosophical about it - that is when refurbs happen. September and January are the two worst months for refurbs. And October-November and February-March are close behind. Anyone who plans trips during those times should be prepared for at least one if not several major rides being under refurb during their trip. And these are typically announced the day before up to maybe a couple months before. Usually you get a couple weeks notice. " HydroGuy Qoute
I have two issues here 1) WDW manages to give the info out months in advance I don't see why DL can't my guess its so people are already committed to going before getting any info that would change their minds about dayes (leaving the parks much quiter on these less desirable days)
2) You pay the same ticket price all year round when clearly Disney does not provide the same magicial experience all year round, obviously there is a trade off for wait times on rides but in one week to close Indy, SM and HM (on top of some other smaller ones) reduce fireworks/ F! to weekends, remove the magic the memories and you completly, close one day at 5pm for a cast party and have generally reduced hours is a bit much
