Non-Signature romantic resort dining

Alright, I feel as though I'm getting really specific here, but I have one table service meal left to use up for my honeymoon on a day not spent at the parks. I would really like one in a resort so I have a good excuse to go check them out. I was thinking 'Ohana, but heard it's not ideal for couples. Any input?

Perhaps Kona at the Poly would work, a late seating. Or, dependingon the weather, I like Spoodles at Boardwalk with a seating on the patio - a bit quiter than the dining room.

Vote number two for Kona...great food, great resort. Two other thoughts...

Boma at AK is a tasty buffet...pretty cool to check out the animals, too!

If you feel a bit more adventurous, there's always Whispering Canyon in WL.

I need something without using admission into the parks, so unfortunately epcot is out.

I would try Kona then. It's in the Poly and the ambiance is great.

Romantic is extremely hard to come by at the non-signature spots. Kona is a good restaurant for food (so I'm told) but the coffee shop atmosphere is hardly romantic. And you are right-O'hana is certainly not a romantic spot for couples. Spoodles might be ok though---
Boatwrights, Olivias and the Turf Club all have pretty good food, but none is what I'd call romantic.

Raglan Road has lots of dark wood and corner spots, might be romantic if it's not at peak time and not crowded. The food is fantastic!

Kona Cafe has tasty food as well but I'd hardly call it romantic.

Raglan Road has a romantic feel if you ask for the right table. Get an earlier or really late ADR and ask for a quiet table!!

Uncle R is right. I can't think of any 1TS restaurants that I would consider even remotely romantic. They are all terribly crowded and noisy with average or below average food. Ragland Road is one of the least romantic, IMO. Just a boozy, extremely loud pub atmosphere -- at least when we were there. I left with headache from all the noise.

I would say you might be able to find a bit of romance at Marrakesh. It is often not terribly crowded and the music and belly dancer are pleasant.

Uncle R correctly notes Kona is a glorified coffee shop.

Another possibility -- Maya Grill. It's a fairly large restaurant and, assuming there aren't tons of convention patrons at the time you go (early, preferably), you may be able to find a fairly quiet table for two -- plus a walk around the lake after dinner can be very romantic.

We have found some romance at Grand Floridian Cafe, but only if it's late. We used to enjoy it around 10 p.m., but I don't know that it stays open that late anymore.

Other than that, I'm stumped.
