Are you staying in the villas and did you make your reservations through member services to get your room discount? If so, then they already know you are DVC members.
I'm pretty sure the discount is only for DVC properties if you stay on cash, not all the Disney resorts. We stayed on cash a few times and got the discount, but again, at a DVC resort.
you get some perks...like dining discounts. but you can't pool hop or get free internet or things like that, so my guess is that the desk won't really care that you are DVC...
We only have 150 points, so we still take non-point trips alot for short, last minute trips--- in fact I doubt we'll add on because we take alot of last minute trips. Anyway--we never tell the front desk that we are DVC members. The only DVC perks we take advantage of(when staying non-dvc) is that great discount on the Annual Passes which is also how we get the non-dvc rooms (AP discount). We've also used the DVC discount on hard ticket events even when we are staying in regular resort rooms on cash, and we've still used the dining discounts--- but no need to tell the front desk.
You can use the valet parking to visit the DVC resorts. You can use the dining, shopping or recreation discounts. You can't pool hop. You won't get free internet.
We won't be in the villas. I was just wondering if I could get hold of the perks booklet. Will they give me a copy if I venture over to the DVC check in counter and ask? We like to frequent the places that give discounts.

There's just one check in counter at WL, for both the villas and the hotel. You can ask for the DVC perks booklet when you check in; I'm sure they'd be glad to give you one.
