Non guest visiting at resort?

I do not think the maid checks to see how many adults and how many children are staying there????? The OP asked a simple question, and the towel animal thing is ridiculous! I think we got towel animals once, and we always have kids with us.
When we went in July to POR for Magic Music Days, a lot of the kids got ready in our room, and left there stuff there while they danced....does that mean that the maid went thru it to see if there was extra adults bag or an extra kids bag?

visit from staff and very embarrassing to all

very doubtful it would be an embarrassing visit. Most likely the front desk would leave a voice message about the third adult charge and invite you to contact them if it is inappropriate.

Lets be realistic here, why else sleep on the floor

not any of your business at all, but many adults would be reluctant to let unrelated Males share a bed with their child. Again, you are just losing me - as long as they aren't jamming 15 people into the room, they aren't breaking any rules.

It is highly doubtful the Maids would say anything. When our family travels, one boy very often sleeps on the floor because my boys simply don't like to share a bed. The Maids are there to clean the room, not police.

You maybe right that they do not check - however they do have eyes.
They look for a lot of things in the room- but not through your
luggage hpoefullu - mines always a mess. They do however for
cooking, animals (another thread here about that) and the
list goes onnnnnn.

Dont get so upset about "ridiculous" Towel anaimals - they are great.
I do have a simple clue on how to better your chance on getting them.
I ask my children to "spruce up the room" so the maid doens't have to
do so much work. They do have limited time with each room on thier rounds.

Sorry but there is theft from the rooms (I believe there is a thread on going about that to) so going throught your bags - no they are not to do that -But
Marge did tell me at the Beach club they hang her wedding dress up too.
Thanks Marge for all your support! :rotfl: that was a great story....off line
I undersand why you didn't post it.

Well Toby's Friend it did happen- and we all had to listen to it.
Port Orleans - 2001

The front desk manager showed up with another employee
(I'm not real sure who - I didn't stick my head out the door or window to look).
But the sound did carry.

I am with you about another adult sharing a bed with my child.
(My children hate to sleep together) so we have a lot of small things we do
to work around this.

Don't be surpised by what the maids notice- they do this for a living and
have seen some interesting things..
Strike a conversation with one sometime they will have you laughing your
head off. :rotfl:

Is it just me or is this thread totally off at this point?

And, just for the record, my 50+ dh & I, non-honeymooners, neat room, tippers, got several towel animals this trip.

A guest? Are you sure you are not asking us how to sneak someone
in with out paying for them?

A guest stays the day and visits you.
A “guest” is not someone that stays a night or two on the floor. That's
a guest of the hotel not yours.

The maids/ staff know how many and who stays in a room, that's how
towel animals turn up.

Wouldn’t it be better to just pay for them and not chance the embarrassment of getting caught?

Just a Mom-

Geez, get a hobby or something.

Now Markh you know the rules - don't make this personal or an attack.
It is improper thought to ignore and not respond to people.

However yes now we are most totally off at this point?

Vanyel - Yes I have heard from a few off line that being childless
and non honeymooners were towel animal gifted. I have just never
been that lucky. I guess I'll have to work harder at it. :flower:

Just Mom said:
I'm sure DCGrumpy that there are pleanty of hotels that
don't charge for the extra adult (we probally all have stay at one).
Lets be realistic here, why else sleep on the floor - this has
me reminiscing over college days. :cool1:

Yet we know that simpliy going to the Disney web site or to a travel agent
for booking the extra adult is charged for. This isn't her fist time at Disney
that was 1998 - not that long ago.

********
I just had a split stay trip in August .It was Poly/BC.... We were 3 adults 2 kids.. We were never sure if all 3 adults were coming and I had called CRO and changed it several time.. It wasn't unitl the last minute we knew for sure our rommate could come(He is Military and it was questionable until the end)..We explained this at both resorts and neithe rone charged us for the 3rd adults and we got a room key for all 3 adults... I was very much prepared to pay

I still don't see what TOWEL ANIMALS have to do with the original poster's original question? No where in her post did she ask if having a person in her room would negate her chances of getting TOWEL ANIMALS :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

God forbid anybody ask a question with out getting judged on these boards. All she did was ask a question that she was unsure about. It does not mean she is trying to break the rules. People on these boards have been so helpful in planning my first in Dec. This is a Disney board right? Where is all the magic and pixi dust gone??? :confused3 :confused3

Very much so- no judgment included in my response - maybe misperceived by other readers. After all
a question mark was place after my response -
missed by how many? (that's another question mark)

towel animals was an analogy - (see posts)

The maids/ staff know how many and who stays in a room, that's how
towel animals turn up.

geezzz this is like talking with my teenagers. :rotfl2:

Sharibrat....your friend can visit the resort without worries and I'm pretty sure that if you asked, he will be able to use the pool with you. As for staying over for the night, if and when he decides to, then call and add him on.

Just Mom....I've been to WDW TWICE without kids and BOTH times got towel animals so I'm not sure what your theory is there or if you even have one. Seems to me someone with such a low post count but with huge opinions maybe belongs in a certain shop in Norway :confused3

How would the maid know that there was an extra person one or 2 nights? Do they take inventory of how many pairs of underwear there are each day or something like that?
