Non-Disney internet at WDW?

I'm going to be at WDW from Feb 3rd-16th, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is anywhere else on or near Disney property that doesn't use Disney's internet? I have to keep up with work while I'm away, and for some reason one of my client services' websites is always blocked by Disney's internet at Pop Century - it comes up as blocked by content filters :confused3

Part of the trip will be a conference in the middle and I'll be at the Wyndham resort opposite Downtown Disney, but I'm not sure if that will run off hotel internet or be included in Disney's wifi. I was hoping somewhere at DownTown Disney might have free wifi, but I'm presuming that would also fall under WDW wifi?

I think I might wind up "accidentally" leaving the laptop at home! :badpc:

The Wyndham will not be on Disney property's wifi, they'll have their own.

They are building a Starbucks at both ends of the DTD complex now, but I assume they will simply have the AT&T/Disney wifi available just as they do in the park locations that are already open.

The only other place I can think of is the Coronado Hotel, since it's a conference resort, might be better, or you could try the Swan and Dolphin. Otherwise going off property to a Starbucks or similar might be the only option.

Can you get a MyFi card? Some companies keep MyFi accounts active for travelers. Then you won't have to use Disney's wifi at all for your client work.

There's a McDonald's across from Blizzard Beach and I know the McDonald's up here have free WiFi so I assume the one's down there do too?? There's also a Panera on Vineland up from DTD and they all have free WiFi. Could you use your cell phone as a hotspot?

Thanks! My phone doesn't work as a mobile hotspot for some reason - it used to and then suddenly Verizon decided I should have to pay extra for that :sad2:

When I mentioned a Panera close by to my colleague, she was very excited - looks like we might be taking a trip over there!

There's an app called FoxFi, not free but cheap, that I have on my Verizon LG Vortex phone that creates a hot spot for up to 5 connections. I got unlimited data from Verizon grandfathered in before they eliminated it, and I use FoxFi daily.

As previous poster mention, I also use FoxFi on my verizon phone. It's a lifesaver when I can't get a wifi connection.
