I just read a news clip that Nomar Garciaparra of the Red Sox is engaged to Mia Hamm. He proposed at Thanksgiving and they have plans to marry in the next two years.

A sad day for the ladies on New England.

Couldn't have said it better myself! I think they actually make a great couple. The fact that they have been friends for a while and both know the demands of a Professional athletic career should help their relationship.
