Is it true the noise in rooms is worse in AoA compared to Pop, in terms of the walls being paper thin?

I stayed at AoA and didn’t notice anything. I was there during a hurricane and slept through the night. Maybe you can request a room at the end of a hallway and away from the elevators.
I don’t know about Pop.

We’ve stayed at both, and I didn’t notice a big difference in noise. We had someone who would bounce a ball above us around 11pm in AoA, and a crying baby next to us at Pop around 5am. Annoying, but not unexpected in a hotel.

I stayed in a cars suite at AoA May '23 and never heard my neighbors but I think they were at low capacity (because we got upgraded from a mermaid room to a suite). The last 2 days of the trip they seemed to get some sort of school or sports groups though and it felt much busier...but only in the cafeteria. My room was still quiet ... as ... a ... mouse.

I've only stayed at both resorts once (AoA was in a family Cars suite). From a noise perspective, the one thing I recall was in Pop - at the start of the morning, you could hear when your neighbors started to get ready when they flushed the toilets. The plumbing water noise was noticeable.
Otherwise the noise coming through the walls was about the same as any other resort (if you have noisy neighbors, you'll hear it. If they're quiet, you won't hear anything).
