I shot the picture below at iso 3200. At this size, the difference is noticeable, but not dramatic. Enlarged, it's striking.

Can you post cropped samples?

True... or you can get Imagenomic Noiseware Community Edition... for free.

Free is good.

Do they have that for Mac? I had a hard time finding a free system for a Mac, and NN ended up being only about $35 for an unlimited home-use license. Worked for me! :teeth:

The difference is most noticeable in his vestments, and the back wall -- the darker areas of the picture.

The original, cropped.

And filtered.

I downloaded the trial version and it works well and MUCH faster than Neat image. I might add that to my arsenal.

Where can I find this? :confused3

Check it out here:

They have a free trial version you can download that leaves a grid watermark on your picture -- but it's clean enough that you can see what it can do. Like I said: I'm a believer! :thumbsup2 And it's not too expensive for the bare bones edition that I got. I was running it and using it to clean up grainy pictures 10 minutes after I downloaded. Very simple. Just a click or two works magic! :wizard:

Seriously guys, unless you're using Mac, I don't understand the willingness in paying (albeit $35) when you can get a freeware that does the exact same thing.

Well for me not having to open up a seperate program(community version is stand alone) is very important, But I do have both(ninja and noiseware) plugins for Photoshop.
