NOBODY IS MORE SURPRISED THAN US! GKTW alumni return! 10/21 MOVING DAY!!

Thinking of you guys and praying that Rachel really is improving.
:grouphug::grouphug:

Chiara praying for your needs as well.
Krystal, How is Tessa???
Aw Judy thank you for thinking of me. I am finally healed with the exception of new skin forming. The wound is closed though. I will take the prayers though as I have one other issue we are dealing with but thankfully it is nothing life threatening or all that seriousj.

Disney will be interesting though as I haven't gotten all my energy back. Continued prayers.
Oh Chaira, I am glad you are getting new skin froming, l but I am so sorry for what you are going through! YOu need to do Disney at YOUR pace. I often find just people watching is a HUGE bit of fun and trying to just soak up one aspect of the parks, since we have to pace ourselves and can't stay long periods of time with Lisa. Do what your body tells you and don't forget you can actually lie down at First Aid for a rest if you need to! :grouphug:

Now I MUST finish my laundry! Good Night!

I wanted to share a picture of Rachel and Lisa on the cover of a local Kids Directory magazine. It comes out quarterly so they will be featured for three months. They are distributed wherever parents and kids may be: MD offices, Chuck E Cheeses, Monkey Joes, Restaurants, etc. We have found them at several of our MD offices the past week and that is WILD to look over and see the girls on the cover...it made us smile! This photo was taken by CSA back in June at the Rock-a-Thon. They loved it so much they asked if they could feature the girls, of course I said yes. :goodvibes

Their Website with the girls on the cover.

They are also on their Facebook Page.

WOW! Congrats!!! :thumbsup2 I was in a version of one of those when I was little--but only in an advertisement several pages in and nowhere near the front cover! This is something worth treasuring!

Judy, That is awesome that the girls made the cover! I am not surprised at all that they wanted to feature them. That is such a good picture. You can just tell that they are in their element.

You asked about Tessa. She is doing okay but even with an increased dosage of seizure meds she is still having them. Her neuro wants to do an inpatient stay in the EMU to try to catch a seizure which is good in that it might help them treat her better. Tessa is scared and I know it will be hard to do with me needing to be their 24 hrs a day to press the button if she has one and having John sick, but we will work it out. Just hoping to schedule it after our family vacation with John's parents the 13th. of September unless they can do it real soon which I doubt.

I am so excited to see the cover!!!! How awesome! Judy, you are so in tune to your family's needs I am sure what you see in Rachel must be improvement! I continue to pray for both girls and all you face.

This weekend was kind of rough adjusting to Bill being gone. I do appreciate the prayers! Our street flooded today, so I met our across the street neighbor when she came over to alert me. I was Skyping with Bill, so had no clue, and had to run upstairs out of my long church dress into a shirt and shorts so I could move his vehicle into our yard which is kind of a wee hill. When the rain stopped, i brought over some leftover dump cake I'd made for dinner with a girlfriend whose DH is in the same battalion as a thank you and ended up visiting a while. When we left their house the street was dry.

I lift up all the needs!!!

LOVED the pic of Jeremy, I hope the tooth fairy was good to him!

He got $2. He got up in the morning and that's the first thing he showed DH! I was still in bed!! Someone had to stay up to make sure the Tooth Fairy made it. :rotfl2:

I am glad you aren't stressing James not being potty trained yet...there is a lot going on! I really appreciate your sunny, happy messages and sharing the babes with me. PRAYING this weekend settled down for all and the phone calls stopped about your SFIL!!! Praying the morning sickness is better!! :grouphug:

No reason to stress. He'll do it when he's ready. :thumbsup2 We had an enjoyable weekend. Went to Great America on Saturday, then went to one of our favorite Mexican restaurant's for a late lunch/early dinner and then came home and relaxed the rest of the weekend away. And the most surprising part is we had no phone calls!!! The morning sickness has for the most part gone away. I do still get it here and there but thankfully the Dr. had given me a prescription that as soon as it start's I take it and within 20 mins I'm back to normal. It makes me sleepy so I try not to take it especially if I know I'm going to be driving because I tend to zone out on it. I'm happy to share pictures of the little one's. I love to see other's pictures and love to share mine too.

Love that the girls were on the cover of the magazine!! That's got to be fun seeing it when you go to your appointments. I may not post it all the time but I am continuing to pray for you and your family!! I really hope Rachel is approving!

Another semi-busy day. Rachel sees her MD and we have hematology appts for David and Lisa. David also has woodworking. I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead, I am sure some of you are gearing up for back to school, or have already started. I pray it is a GREAT year! (Amy, praying hard for Benjamin).

Thanks again for praying for Rachel! I really don't know what to think, she had two long naps again yesterday, which tells me her brain still needs rest.

I know LOTS of you are clicking on the thread and reading, please don't be shy abut saying hello, even if you never have. :goodvibes

WOW! Congrats!!! :thumbsup2 I was in a version of one of those when I was little--but only in an advertisement several pages in and nowhere near the front cover! This is something worth treasuring!

That is SO cool! Lisa has been in a few mags through the years and I was happy to have BOTH girls together on the cover! What part of Maryland are you from? (Pete is from Westminster).

I LOVE that picture, it was such a great day and brings back lots of memories. My girls love to perform together, I have missed that these past three weeks. It feels like months.

Please tell Tessa we are praying for her! David and Lisa have both been inpatient for VEEG's. David had to stay for four days once at Chapel Hill, d/t to their night vision camera messing up! I was NOT a happy Mama. I hope someone can help out with John, I know you will be torn/worried. :grouphug:

How scary about the flood, I am sure it felt even worse to be there without Bill (What a gift to be able to Skype)! How wonderful though that the flood brought you together with your neighbor. That is a blessing for them to know you are there and Bill is gone, they can keep any eye out for/on you!!

You KNOW I am proud of my girls!! You know Lisa wants to be famous, Rachel just wants to play good music. I just want things to happen in God's time, so little things like this make them both happy.

He got $2. He got up in the morning and that's the first thing he showed DH! I was still in bed!! Someone had to stay up to make sure the Tooth Fairy made it. :rotfl2:

$2 is GOOD! Glad he was happy and I KNOW about Mama's having to make sure these things are done. Once I had surgery when the TF was supposed to make an appearance. Seems when Rachel got up it appeared the TF hadn't come, but no, it had just "fallen" behind the bed. :lmao: There is always a way. :rotfl2:

I am glad the Morning sickness is much better and yes, we don't need you zoning out or falling asleep while driving. And you know how I love the pics of your littles!! So glad the phone was quiet for you so you could have a little peace yesterday!

Thank you for the continued prayers. :goodvibes

It IS fun to now look and see if they have any copies in the waiting rooms. Last Monday when we went to the pediatrician, I was shocked to see it hanging on the wall beside Rachel's head. I showed all of the ladies up front, they hadn't even noticed it was the girls (they told me the vendor just comes in and puts them n the well-child waiting room and they hadn't even seen it yet)...when we came back out, ALL of the mags were gone, they had taken the copies to distribute to all of the staff. That made Rachel smile.

Praying EVERYONE has a peaceful day!

Oh can I PLEASE have an autographed copy of the magazine?! The girls looks awesome. I love Lisa's dress. She really is famous!!!! Alexa says she is famous b/c a local bank put her photo in their magazine so making the cover constitutes uber fame for Lisa and Rachel :)

Hope you have a lovely day and that Rachel is really improving.

Prayers to all in need. :flower3:

Just stopped in to say :wave2: Sounds like you have a busy day ahead. I know how unusual that is for you, :rolleyes1 so sending thoughts and prayers that all goes smoothly!!! :goodvibes

So cool that the girls made the cover of the magazine!!! :thumbsup2

Love the girl's cover shot...they are famous!:cheer2: I hope this week brings you good news on all your situations.

Love the update! Love the picture. Hope all the appointments go well this week. Sent you an email.

The magazine cover is amazing!! How wonderful!! Glad to hear you are seeing some signs of improvement with Rachel. Praying she continues to heal!

All is well here - Shane is mending slowly but we are making headway. Granddaddy had another set back last week and was in the hospital. We are home now and will be making the switch to hospice soon. He's getting sundowners which is making nights very interesting.

Take care this week with all of your appointments and activities!

How exciting for the "cover girls", it must be so fun! I would love a copy of their magazine! Have a great day! Hope ALL of your appointments go smoothly! Ruth

Well look-a-there! Miss Lisa and Miss Rachel are famous! Ask 'em if I can get an autographed copy of the magazine. ::yes:: Hope that your week started off on the right foot. Of course, I know that the foot is constantly running but keeping my fingers crossed for no stumbles. :rotfl:

Ya-hoo! Congrats to your girls! We are so proud of them!!! I finally caught up on all the weekend posts and will be praying for all the requests mentioned. I love how supportive everyone is on this thread.

I dropped Benjamin off this morning for his first day (the others don't go back until Thursday). He looked positively sick when he got out of the car, so I've been praying for him all morning. The bully from last year was getting dropped off at the same time and Benjamin looked like he was going to pass out. We had been under the impression he was transferring schools this year so it was not a nice surprise this morning. I only hope they don't really share many classes and their lockers are not anywhere close to each other.

May I add another request? A very dear friend of ours, like a second grandmother to my kids, passed away last night. She had a kidney transplant 20 years ago, and it is a miracle she lasted this long with it, but she got sick and went downhill VERY quickly this weekend, so the kids didn't get a chance to say goodbye. In a way I am glad that the last memories of her they will have are from church a couple weeks ago where she was her usual cheerful bubbly self, but selfishly I have been in tears all morning thinking of how much we are going miss Grandma Judy. I know she is no longer in any pain and is thrilled beyond imagination to be in Heaven. She just touched so many people and we are having a tough day today, so if you would remember her family in prayer, I know they would appreciate it.

Count me in wanting an autographed copy of the magazine from your famous daughters! :thumbsup2 It's a great picture showing what Lisa and Rachel love to do! Praying that Rachel is feeling better today!

Saying prayers for both Benjamin and your friend's family.

Prayers for all those in need too!

That is so great that Rachel and Lisa made the cover of a magazine. Next stop, On the cover of the Rollin' Stone. :thumbsup2

How exciting to see the girls on the cover of the magazine. Lisa is getting so tall. I think she will soon catch up to Rachel. I'm glad to hear Rachel is starting to get a little better, praying she is back to her normal self soon so she can play her guitar again. It's too bad your doctor is moving. I still remember when I was young and our doctor was killed by a husband upset because his wife had died. My mom was so upset as he was the doctor who delivered all of us and we all just loved him. Luckily none of us had any health problems, or I'm sure my mom would have been in a panic to find a new doctor. I'm sure it's so much harder for you to lose someone you trust. Your trip is getting so close. You need a nice break to relax and enjoy your family.
